Alive and Kicking would've been in my top ten.
Not a bad song in this top 25. Pretty sure my lowest is Killers. Really glad to see 10 Years triple up along with my top 5 remaining untouched.

40. I'm So Sick (#25) - Probably the best thing I've heard from Flyleaf. Liked the harsh vocals on this one. 39. World Wide Suicide (#30) - Not the best from Pearl Jam, but it's still Pearl Jam. 38. Life Wasted (#21) - This song rocks, sad to see it go so early. At least it just barely did better than WWS. 37. Stricken (#83) - A-A-A-OOOO just kinda kills the song for me. 36. Steady As She Goes (#16) - Well this isn't quite active, but it's still a kickass song. 35. Animal I Have Become (#69) - angst. I can't really get past the angst. 34. Cold (But I'm Still Here) (#34) - P-P-P-PERFECT RANKING! I didn't think this was revolutionary like some of you guys, but it was nice. 33. Remedy (#48) - One of my favorites from Seether, not a whole lot else to say. 32. Seize the Day (#50) - My least favorite A7X song here, fittingly went out first. 31. The Suffering (#7) - The guitar on this is so fun, nice pop punk song. I've always liked C&C, so this naturally ended up high for me. 30. Call Me When You're Sober (#53) - Probably my favorite from Evanescence, nice orchestral elements on here. 29. The Kill (Bury Me) (#52) - Always found this a tad over the top. Not bad, though. 28. Land of Confusion (#40) - One of my favorites from Disturbed, great cover. 27. Save Me (#36) - This was the best Shinedown song here, what the hell 26. Hate Me (#10) - I find some personal meaning in this song. Incredibly emotional, awesome song. At least it did better than on alt.

40. I'm So Sick - FlyleafI was so unaware of this particular song, that I didn't even chart it. Eh,it wasn't all that. 39. World Wide Suicide - Pearl JamDecent band. I don't know why it took me so long to really get into one of their songs. "The Fixer"? Oh well. 38. Life Wasted - Pearl JamThis one was a bit more uptempo. Worthy of my top 50. 37. Stricken - DisturbedOne of their best songs ever. Most played band at my gym. part of the reason? me. 36. Steady, As She Goes - The RaconteursA great song better suited for Alternative radio, but still anchors my top 50. 35. Animal I Have Become - Three Days Graceeasy top 20 for me any year of my life. So of you must think you too hip for the Melodic Active rock wonders like this? 34. Cold (But I'm Still Here) - Evans BlueThis higher than "Stricken" and "Animal I Have Become"? What a travesty. 8D 33. Remedy - SeetherNow that's the way to get me hooked with your intro. 32. Seize the Day - Avenged SevenfoldGreat one. Not complaining on it's placement either. 31. The Suffering - Coheed and CambriaThis is a good song. Immensely catchy. The Suffering is putting up with his vocals. :kii: 30. Call Me When You're Sober - EvanescenceGreat song. It's so awesome to see female rock vocals make the top 30. 29. The Kill (Bury Me) - Thirty Seconds to Marsit's better than most songs on this list, but I still don't really care for it. 28. Land of Confusion - DisturbedGood song, but no way this is better than "Stricken". Who are you people? 27. Save Me - ShinedownMost shinedown songs are great, except "How Do You Poptart" 26. Hate Me - Blue OctoberYou guys really cream for this band. I better see this kind of love for "I Hope Your Happy"?

EXTRA:
Danko Jones - First Date LOVE IT!!! Fun lyrics and that music video goes a long way. I would have put this in my top 50.
Mercy Fall - I Got Life Some of those guitar works show life, but I wasn't completely blown away.
Thousand Foot Krutch - Absolute I could do without this band's music. 'nuff said.
Nonpoint - Alive and Kicking Better than most songs I've heard form this band. I usually tank them. This might merit an 70-79 slot?

Tonight promises to be a wild reveal, and that all begins with #25. #25 is the source of the 12th highest standard deviation. This song spent some time in the top ten early in the rankdown, and it was in the top 20 for eight of the first nine rankings. It struggled after that, falling out of the top 30 and staying out for five rankings, before some kind posters pushed this song back into the top 30 and, eventually, back into the top 25 for the last time.
All but five posters will lose a top half ranking with #25, and ten of those rankings are top 25 rankings. Only one poster will lose a top ten, but seven posters will lose rankings in the 11-20 range. Of the five non-top half rankings, three of them are in the bottom 20. One ranking is a bottom ten, and it clears that poster's bottom ten.

#24 brings us to the moment a lot of you have been waiting for. It's time for the highest standard deviation. This was a top ten contender for much of the rankdown, hanging out in the top ten for over half of the rankdown (though not consecutively). A wave of poor momentum ultimately dropped this song out of the top 20 twice, and it was the second time that proved to be insurmountable for this song, ending up in its lowest position in the rankdown.
The weird thing about this song having the highest SD is that no one ranked it bottom ten. Two posters did rank it bottom 20, however, and three posters ranked it bottom 30. Ten posters ranked this song in the top half of their ranking, meanwhile, and I can go one further and say that every top half ranking is a top 25 ranking. In fact, all but one of those rankings are top ten rankings, with six of those rankings being top fives. At least one poster will also not get to see their #1 live for another reveal.

Let's keep the "good vibes" going with #23. Some people are going to be surprised to learn that this song struggled pretty hard out of the gate. It was even bottom half of the rankdown, at one point. It rebounded enough, but it struggled to even get into the top 30 until the second-to-last ranking, with the last ranking giving it an extra push into the top 25.
Once again, all but five posters ranked this song in their top 50, with seven posters losing top 20 rankings. Three posters will lose top ten rankings, though one poster will be losing a pretty high top five. While no one ranked this song in their bottom ten, three posters will lose a bottom 30 ranking, and one will get rid of a bottom 20.

#22 struggled a bit initially, but this was still a song that was in the top half for pretty much every ranking, and it was in the top 30 for the last nine rankings, being in the top 20 for three of those rankings. It got dropped back a bit in a late ranking, only to be picked right back up to the #22 spot.
All but six posters will lose a top 50 ranking with #22, with eight posters losing a top 25 ranking. Two posters will not just be losing top ten rankings, they'll be losing top fives. One poster, in particular, is about to lose a high top five. No one loses a bottom ten or 20 ranking, on the other hand, but four posters will lose a bottom 40 ranking, and one poster will get mighty close to that distinction, as well.

#21 had quite the run. It was in the top ten on four separate occasions, sticking around at #10 for three consecutive rankings close to the end of the rankdown. Ultimately, the last couple of rankings sealed its fate, but this song had one hell of a ride up until that point.
All but five posters will lose a top 50 ranking, with seven of those rankings being in the top 25. Two posters will also lose a top ten, though neither are top fives. Only three posters even lose a bottom 40 ranking here, with just one losing a bottom 30 ranking, though it came relatively close to being a bottom 20.

#20 was another song that was in the top ten at one point, though very briefly early. This was also in the top 20 for nine of the first ten rankings, before a surge of poor/mediocre rankings sent this song out of the top 20 and even the top 30 after one ranking. It eventually made its way back into the top 20 very late, and just in the nick of time.
Only eleven posters ranked this song in their top half, but every single ranking is a top 25 ranking. Only three of those rankings are top ten rankings, and none are top five rankings. Only three posters bothered ranking this song in their bottom 30, too, though all three rankings are no lower than #75.

#19 started out well early, then progressively got worse, even falling out of the top 30. It was then able to reverse momentum and even jumped back into the top 15. It did not stay there, but it was able to squeeze its way into the top 20 at the end of the rankdown.
All but three posters ranked this song in the top half of their ranking, and seven of those posters had a top 25 ranking in their sights for this song. Three posters will lose a top ten ranking, and one poster will lose a top five after losing one recently. Of the three non-top half rankings, two are bottom 30 rankings, and one is a low bottom 20.

#18 hits us with a big standard deviation: The fifth-lowest standard deviation. This song never went lower than top 30, and it looked like it might stay in the 21-30 range for the entire rankdown...and then the last six rankings happened. Though it never got higher than #15 after its top 20 breakthrough, this was a song that was destined to finish in the top 20 at the end.
We'll start at the bottom, because this song has some crazy stats. Only two posters even ranked this song in their bottom half, with only one ranking it in their bottom 40. So, why is this song so low in the rankdown with that lack of low rankings? Because only five people ranked this song in their top 25, and only two posters ranked it in their top ten. Those top ten rankings are high ones, though, both top fives...and one is even a #1.

#17 is the source of another low standard deviation, this time the 17th lowest. This particular song never left the top 25 once. It was also never in the top ten, and it was barely even in the top 15. This song was in the 16-25 range for all but three rankings, and it wound up on the high end of that range at the very end of the rankdown.
All but three posters ranked this song in their top half, with seven posters going for a top 25 ranking. Only one poster ranked this song in their top ten, but it is a top five ranking. None of the three bottom half rankers put this song in their bottom ten or 20, but one did rank it in their bottom 30.

I do appreciate the post, James. This thread needs all the help it can get with @humanshazam out of commission.
#16 actually struggled more than you might think it would. The song was only in the top 15 on two separate occasions, and those occasions were both late. On two separate occasions, this song was not even in the top 30. This did worse than I expected...and yet, I can't say that I'm entirely surprised, either.
All but four posters ranked this song in their top half, with ten posters ranking it in their top 25. For the first time tonight, someone will get a little taste of perfection. Two posters will get something they may not want to have, as they lose a top ten ranking. One of those rankings is a top five. Of those four bottom half rankings, only one is a bottom thirty ranking...but it's a pretty low ranking.
