Just outside the top 5, we finally say goodbye to my last place song!! This song is still amazing...but I had to put something at the bottom. To me this is one that I revisit the least from the album, but that really isn't saying much because I would still probably rank it a 9/10, and I listen to everything on the album multiple times per month... Just such a solid body of work

This song is #1 for 4 people, which was almost enough to let it be the highest-placing album track! This song spanned almost the entire list in terms of placements, but it was in the top 5 for the majority of the submission process. It somehow managed to sporadically rise and fall more than most other songs did throughout the submissions, mostly because of how incredibly close together most of the songs in the middle ended up being. This song missed the top 5 by 3 points!

Phenomenal song. I just love the phrase "Downside of Growing Up". It's a simple thing but I really like the use of the word "downside" when talking about "growing up", it's such a tiny and simple detail but I love it!

I guess these songs about growing up hits me harder because I'm at that stage right now where I'm confused about life in general right now.

[Darkest Hour]

Downside of Growing Up is a nice coda to the album. It retains their positive views towards life.

I am SO glad this song managed to garner enough support to enter the top 5, and it is even better that this managed to be the highest-placing album track! This song is absolutely perfect. Maddie's lead vocals here are probably the best on the entire album, and the overall mood of the song perfectly portrays the imagery of smoke.

This song was on pace to finish outside of the top 5, getting as low as #8 for awhile. This current finish is MUCH more appropriate, although I am sad it couldn't place higher than at least ONE of the singles...

For the first single loss of the rankdown, we say goodbye to the final single, which was also the least successful (peaked at #47 on the Country Airplay chart). This song is incredibly witty, and its inherent strength definitely comes from that humor. The way they creatively crafted the song to avoid cussing, while still hinting at it, definitely makes this a delightful addition to the album.

That being said, I am shocked this song managed to make it this far! I saw all the predictions that this would go out between #7-9, and I have to say I completely agreed with that thought! It seems this is a song that nobody hates, but nobody thinks everyone else will love as much as they actually do... Lol.

I'm really surprised by a #4 finish for "Sierra", I thought it was going to do worse. I'll take a #4 finish for "Sierra" very happily!
