In spite of the jacked up audio (and the drunk ass cameraman), she delivered a solid performance.
Waves won the VMA for Best R&B Video as well.

It annoyed me that a few technical snafus kept this from really ascending to the level of greatness I know she's capable of, but it was still very, very good. The in-audience snippets I've seen floating around on Insta/Twitter did her more justice than MTV's actual televised performance.

I would love it if she carries out the early 00's aesthetic for the whole era. Maybe it might be overkill but she just does it so well and I miss that time. She doesn't have to do anymore obvious tributes (Beyonce, J.LO etc) but like clothing, photoshoots etc would be so much fun.

Normani giving hints about collabs on her upcoming album . at least one is real and some are fake.the names she mentioned are Ariana, Rosalía,Nicki,Summer Walker, and J.Cole. also of interest they are playing Senorita in the background during it.

I think it was a mix of her team and the GP to be honest. I will never forgive this world for Motivation not smashing and going No 1. It definitely had all the right ingredients. Regardless the video is iconic. |
