Her manager was at dinner with some Spotify execs last night (he tagged them in his Instagram story) so something must be coming soon. Waves (and Checklist, and Slow Down) are going to be a cute 40-50k SPS to pad on to the total sales number lol. |

Honestly I don't know what to expect from her next. I thought "Waves" is a total bop but apparently her pop materials have been faring much better commercially. Hopefully they've found the right song that hits the sweet spot to launch her.

The lead has to be coming soon. updates: 1) Fans tracked down the trainer mentioned in the above tweet and found IG videos from what appear to be a blocked off street on the video set. You can hear what sounds like a dance/house beat in the background of a couple of them and there's a still shot of Nao ( plus size/body-positive model) in front of a green screen. There are also some guys dressed in early 2000s wardrobe so we may be getting a throwback-ish video. 2) Dave Myers directed The guy in that video is named Lawrence Robinson. He apparently deleted his insta story after posting it but here is his IG anyway just bc he's fine af www.instagram.com/lawrencehrobinson/3) Megan Thee Stallion revealed that she and Normani have collaborated and it's "coming soon": And Normani liked this tweet from a little over a week ago: Megan wasn't spotted on set (Normani has Swiftie/Hive level sleuths for fans, if Megan was there they would have known) BUT Nao retweeted Megan's tweet, so I don't know if this video is for the Mani/Meg collab or not. Megan could possibly be (or already was) scheduled to shoot her scenes on a different day or in another location. |

I...LOVVVVVVVEEEE it. I streamed the song earlier and wasn't blown it away. Played it again and by the third listen, I was hooked. The video is perfection. Ugh she's doing exactly what I wanted her to do. Now I hope they promote her properly because she deserves to blow the f up.

What I really want is a clean album campaign going forward. No delays, no messiness. Just announce that album date and start the promo. Let's get this ball rolling.
