The Wombats, I kind of expected them to go out before the top ten. But this?! And I'm the only top five?!?!
My head hurts. And it's only partly because of my illness.

#25 CRX - Ways to Fake ItEasily one of the two best songs on this entire list. I knew the Alt chart was going down the crapper when this didn't do anything on it. Anyway Strokes or not; this has The Cars written all over it. #24. Lord Huron - Ends of the EarthI'm never getting into these Slow-Mo jobs. I can't find any apeal for this act at all. To me beautiful ,was Kiss -"Beth" or Rolling Stones "Ruby Tuesday". This was just boring. #23. J osé González - Step OutThis is indie I can still find some melodic value in. I actually found that backup choir or whoever they were, pretty interesting. #22. Flight Facilities f/ Reggie Watts - Sunshine Stupid stupid video, but the song had groove, and that goes a long way. #21. The Wombats - Lemon to a Knife FightAnother bad decision made by most of you. Seeing this song on the list, was one of the reasons I decided to play, and you guys screwed it. #20. City and Colour - Wasted LoveThis was one of those AAA only charting songs. I probably could of charted it back then? #19. Gotye - Save MeDecent slot for a good song. There is only so much you can do with a Gotye song. #18. Acceptance - Fire and RainThis was pretty fucking bad ass for a first time listen. I loved that uptempo intro and he delivered a powerful vocal performance. It barely missed my top 10, but gave it Download? Check, action. #17. Glass Animals - YouthIndie sounds so much better with some guitar in it. It carries the vocals and doesn't make those indie vocals sound so lifeless, like they do in today's indiepop. #16. The National - Squalor VictoriaThis was o.k.. The intro took to long to get started. Decent song, I guess?

We have just five songs left to get to the Top 10. Who's with me? At #15, we start off with a bang here as a #1 loss is incoming. Six people in total placed this song in their Top 10, and one person joined that #1 by putting this in their Top 3. This got its fair share of spots in the 20s, but there are two bottom 10s for this: one in the bottom 3. This song looked like a Top 10 contender all game. It dove in and out, but overall, it was looking like it'd finish at the lower rungs of it. In the end though, it got dropped to here at #15.

On one hand, this is my lowest remaining song.
On the other hand, every song remaining is in my top half. Every reveal is going to hurt.

We lose another high ranking here at #14!
Four people put this song in their Top 10, and one of those is a #1. This one got a lot of middle rankings. Not too much love outside of those Top 10s, and there is only one bottom 10, which is a bottom 5.
This one stayed inside of the Top 20 every list. This hit the Top 10 towards the middle – even climbing into the Top 5 at a point. It ended up slowly dipping towards the end and fell to where it is now at #14.

The longer this song survived, the more I thought it had a shot at the top ten.
Against Me! are cursed, I guess.

#13 started off so fun to watch.
Seven people ranked this song in their Top 10 – a new high so far. Two more people ranked this in their Top 20, and they were closer to the Top 10. There were two bottom 10s on this, and they are both on the lower end of the bottom 10.
Why was this so fun to watch? This spent awhile sticking just in the Top 10. It didn't fall out until a little over halfway over. Even more impressive? This spent time at #1 – our first song to do that so far. The reason this fell out of the Top 10 was because three poor rankings came in at the same time (one specific dropped it hard because of how close things were), and it couldn't recover. It did make up lost ground by climbing back up to #13, but it could have done so much better.

oh wow. i listened to Typhoon's album and thought it was pretty good, this was definitely one of the highlights. something about his voice is a little bit grating, which explains why this is a tad lower for me

Beautiful, beautiful song. Their album is my tops of the year, and it likely won't leave that throne. An outstanding album front to back. The only album I've ever ranked a 5/5 based on first listen.
I wish this made Top 10 at least.

I wasn't overly enamored with "Rorschach" (though I do like it). I liked this a lot more.
Az gets a pass because I have a sneaking suspicion he treated my #1 well.

#12 was a very consistent player throughout.
This song has four Top 10s with one of those being a Top 5. Seven other people put this song in their Top 20. This had just one sole bottom 10, and of course it's a bottom 5.
This song rarely left the 12-16 range. It stayed in the Top 20 all but once, but it was never able to reach the Top 10.

I wanted to put this higher, but it's basically a decade-later version of U2's "City of Blinding Lights".
I mean, I adore that song, though, so this was never leaving my top 15.
