I didn't know them before "No Surprise", so this could be good? Depending what those songs sound like? Trust me, if you like TOAD, you'll probably like those two songs. I feel like I've seen a decent amount of praise for "Nothing Could Come Between Us" from you, lol. I better see it high for you. (that's 04, right?)

(that's 04, right?) I think it's 2002...and I don't think that I'll rank it low. How high will depend, because 2002 gets really tough for me at times. This was fine, though nothing too special.

Never heard of Life Of Agony before this. I say ;the vocals really got me to upgrade this one. That, and that great chorus.

Closing out tonight at #71 is, of course, one more band making their rock rankdown debut. 8 of us ranked this in our top 50 which is the most to this point. 5 people will not be happy as they lose a top 40, with one of these being a top 30. 2 posters will rejoice though since they had this song in their bottom 10.

I love Judas Priest, but this isn't one of my favorites.

I mean, this isn't one of Priest's best songs, but surely, it still deserved better than bottom 30.

Tonight's first extra is a song from Megadeth. Would've been pretty high on my list had it made the cut.

Never thought I'd be the highest ranker for a Judas Priest song.
"Lightning Strike" will do better than this in the 2018 rankdown. Mark my words. ;)

EXTRAS
Of Mice and Men - Megadeth I've always liked Megadeth. This one starts of a bit slower than their other songs, but still an amazing song, and very apt for the mid 2000's.
What You Deserve - The Exies First time listen. Active rock really hasn't changed much through the years. To me that's a good thing. This song has a somewhat good chorus, but the rest sounds too safe.
Home Sweet Home - Mötley Crüe f/ Chester Bennington Chester sounded great on STP, but I don't think his vocal vibe fit the "Crüe". This is a classic Glam Metal ballad to any 80's fan. It couldn't get perfected any more than it already was. I probably put it in my top 50 for classic value alone, but I really had no use for this rerecorded version. Did you?
Attack - Thirty Seconds to Mars This was one of their best ones. R.I.P. what once was a great band.
A few more of my 2005 extras to continue the good rock vibe going on this rankdown. First off 'I'm pleasantly surprised ,Nickelback is still in here. Here is another rocker off "The Long Road" I charted.
"Do This Anymore" (DOC #46)
In 2005 ; Def Leppard released "Yeah", which was them doing covers of their favorite rock songs. They did a great job and I charted a few of these. "Hanging On The Telephone" was also covered by Blondie, but originally done by The Nerves. I think Def Leppard did a great job capturing that Powerpop style of the band.
"Hangin' On The Telephone" (DOC# 36)

Stand Up doesn't deserve bottom ten. Trapt gets a worse rep here than they deserve. That driving chorus is so good. This is honestly a better version of Headstrong (which I'm sure is gonna get tanked?) "Stand Up" is what I call a wide-open-throttle song, which basically means that it makes me want to drive very fast if I hear it when I'm on the highway. In fact, my #2 in this rankdown is ranked as highly as it is because it's my #2 wide-open-throttle song of all, just behind "Panama" by Van Halen, and just ahead of "Run To You" by Bryan Adams. (HINT: It's a cover song.)

As far as nu metal goes, this is the kind of stuff that I like. Contrary to Doc, that melodic chorus makes the song for me. Hopefully "Enemy" doesn't get shafted.

Ahh, 'Black Betty'. It saddens me to see a #teamAUSSIE option on the list that I don't care much for. :'( So I won't lose sleep if it does got out soon.

We begin this third night of reveals at #70 with the first reveal for a band that has multiple songs in this rankdown. We recently ranked this song which is by a rock radio veteran. 8 people had this song in their top 50 with 2 of these being top 30s. Nobody put it in their bottom 10.

At #69 is another song that we just ranked in the Alt 2005 rankdown. We have seen this song's artist quite a few times in these rock rankdowns. The song at hand had the 13th lowest standard deviation. One person will lose a top 30 and 2 more people will lose a top 40. Bringing it down were its 3 bottom 20s.

This cover is not bad at all. Is it a patch on the original? lol, of course it isn't. But I admire that they try to add their own flair to the song, even if it doesn't entirely stick the landing.
(Also, this would have been my #1 in 2005.)

Brace yourselves! Incoming at #67 is the song with this rankdown's HIGHEST standard deviation. This song was in the bottom 10 early on before getting some significant support. 2 people will lose a top 10 5 and 3 more will lose a top 20. 4 others will be happy as they eliminate another of their bottom 5s. 2 of these people had this song at #100.
