His career would have been so different if they had released "Amazing Grace" as the second single from Shaken Not Stirred, or even as the third single instead of "Good Old Days". Oh well. Still love him. One of my favorite live performers.

I can't stand Big & Rich, but "Between Raising Hell and Amazing Grace" was surprisingly good.

"Bagpipes Cryin'" is a good song but in a rankdown this strong for me it goes near the bottom of my like pile.
The Flynnville Train guys are fun, I've met them and seen them live, but their music is a little on the forgettable side for me. (I have 3 of their albums though so guess they win lol)
"Between Raising Hell And Amazing Grace" would've been higher if the melody was stronger, it's thiiiiiissss close to being a good song.
"Say Yes" is great I think I'd like it more if Josh had kept it for himself but it's still great!
"Sunday Morning In America" was robbed plain and simple. Sure not radio friendly but it was different and still stand out as one of the best risks of the last decade.

"House Like That" is good, but in such a strong year for me it had to go where it landed #101. For the record I like my top 103 lol sabre14 "One Of The Boys" wasn't her second to last with Sony. She had "You Don't Have To Go Home", "Don't Do Me No Good", and "If I Could Do It All Again" after it. Also "Earrings Song" was slated to go for adds but pulled before it ever did lol I totally forgot about “Don’t Do Me No Good” and “If I Could Do It All Again”. Gretchen’s music from 2007-2009 really got tiresome for me. Aww I loved both of those lol

Looking to continue this tomorrow.
I want guesses for which 4 songs (#104-#101) will miss the top 100!!

Does Steve Holy have a song still? I would not be surprised to lose him soon. I believe Clay Walker is living on borrowed time with "Fore She Was Mama". I also wouldn't be surprised to see "Hillbilly Deluxe" say bye bye soon! What else..... Maybe something jingoistic and polarizing from Darryl Worley, like "I Just Came Back From A War"?

Even I didn't mind "Come on Rain" much and I loathe Steve Holy, lol. I didn't rank it that high, but much higher relative to the other song in this rankdown which was atrocious.

The only Steve Holy song I can tolerate is GMB. Still hoping for "Come On Rain" to leave soon, though.
I'm also anticipating a hit will leave as well (please let it be LLCB).

That’s a song I used to hear a lot but haven’t recently. It was definitely overplayed but it’s the one Steve Holy song I can listen to...”Brand New Girlfriend” on the other hand is another story. I absolutely loathe that song.

#104. Halfway To Hazard - "Devil And The Cross"
Audio Total Points: 1,785 Average: 81.13 Year Released: September 24th, 2007 Mediabase Peak: #51 Billboard Peak: #50 Rankings:sabre14 - 4 kw9461 - 18 zaclord 🌈 - 43 toomuchboy - 51 LBTrocks - 52 fearlessarrow - 54 Kanenrá:ke - 66 booo .indulgecountry - 80 bboat11 - 81 austin - 92 castleoblivion26 - 92 d3vin44 - 96 George Strait Junkie - 96 Cody Wants Out... - 97 someguy - 101 g8erboi - 104 bigfan101 - 106 carriefan15 - 108 CoJoFan - 109 rgreen0625 - 111 gonecountry - 112 tim - 112 "Devil And The Cross" was the second-career single for Halfway To Hazard in the fall of 2007, off their self-titled debut album. It peaked at #50 on Billboard in November. They are comprised of David Tolliver and Chad Warrix. They were discovered by Tim McGraw's producer, Byron Gallimore during a live show in Nashville and they signed the duo to their new label service, StyleSonic, in a joint deal with Mercury Nashville. They released their debut single "Daisy" in the spring of 2007 and it peaked at #39 on Mediabase in the summer. After a failed third single, "I Know Where Heaven Is", they exited UMG and disbanded. However, after being apart for nearly six years (2015), they reunited to form Halfway To Hazard, where they are still a duo to this day.
This is one of my all-time favorites of not only 2007, but of the decade. I know not everyone is religious but this song has excellent lyrics, production and instrumentation. It also has a very good melody and the music and lyrics paint such a great picture in a listener's head. Another low-charting song I knew wouldn't fare well here but it's a fantastic song.

Arguing about which Steve Holy song is best is like arguing about which pile of garbage smells best Is it Steve’s voice you guys don’t like? I know “Brand New Girlfriend” was polarizing and “Men Buy The Drinks” was one of his worst recorded songs but he has some gems like “Go Home”, “Blue Moon”, “I’m Not Breakin’“, “Rock-A-Bye Heart”, “It’s My Time (Waste It If I Want To)” and “Might Have Been.”

Yeah, Steve Holy's voice is pretty bad imo. I could tolerate "Come on Rain" more than I expected in spite of that, but literally everything else of his I've heard was an instant 'hell no' from me. His music is usually not my cup of tea, but I definitely think his voice does it no favors. He's down in the same pile that I'd put artists like Tyler Farr, Darryl Worley, and Rodney Atkins. Bleh.

Eh, I think Tyler Farr is 2 or 3 tiers lower than the ones you named lol. At least I’ve heard Steve or Darryl hit some hard notes and expand their vocals...Tyler just has no range and is severely behind everyone else’s vocals on a major label right now.

I would argue that Tyler's range is bigger than any of those other guys, at least on the high end... Lol his high range is one of the best in country music, even though his timbre sucks ass. It is hard to compare them all though, because all of them have different voice types. Tyler is definitely a tenor, whereas Darryl and Rodney are more baritone. And tbh I haven't listened to Steve enough to act like I know anything about his vocals. I just don't like him because almost every song I have ever heard from him has just been really boring and unremarkable, made even worse by being impossible to find.
