OMG that is NOT the cover for Biker Chick, is it!?!? BAHAHAHA. Never liked the song but LOVE Jo Dee, hence my generous rank. That is 100% the single cover, Curb had it on their promotional CDs sent out to stations when it was released to radio lol.

I’m working non-stop this weekend so I’m probably not clear timing this until Sunday evening or Monday afternoon.

"House Like That" is good, but in such a strong year for me it had to go where it landed #101. For the record I like my top 103 lol sabre14 "One Of The Boys" wasn't her second to last with Sony. She had "You Don't Have To Go Home", "Don't Do Me No Good", and "If I Could Do It All Again" after it. Also "Earrings Song" was slated to go for adds but pulled before it ever did lol

Gretchen’s music from 2007-2009 really got tiresome for me.

"If I Could Do It All Again" was absolutely fantastic. I'm not surprised it flopped given the way it sounded and her lack of momentum when it was released (coming off a string of flops), but man, was that a great song.

#110. Flynnville Train - "Nowhere Than Somewhere"

It was the second career single for Show Dog Nashville band, Flynnville Train. Their first was a top 50 single, "Last Good Time" that spring. Both songs, including their third single ("Tequila Sheila"), were included on their debut self-titled album. They went on to have a couple more albums after they left the label.
This band enjoys some southern rock in their country music style and Toby was a huge fan of theirs before he signed them to a record deal. I enjoyed "Last Good Time" but I loved "Nowhere Than Somewhere" -- it was just a cleverly written song, with good production and a very good music video to go along with it. They're also one of the biggest pleasant surprises I've seen live, when they opened for Toby in the summer of 2007.

I just wanted to use a gif with that caption. I may end up postponing '93 results a while after the backlash received from a Reba song being out that early. jk; I'll resume some time tomorrow.

I like my fare share of southern country rock but for some reason this song just didn't click with me (it was also a first time listen for me). I almost forgot how the song went so just had to listen to it again to refresh my memory. Maybe if I was more familiar with them I would've ended up ranking this higher.

No! Poor Keith. Love SMIA, but agree it wasn’t the best choice for a single.

#106. Rushlow Harris - "Bagpipes Cryin'"
AudioTotal Points: 1,820 Average: 82.72 Year Released: October 30th, 2006 Mediabase Peak: #44 Billboard Peak: #42 Rankings:sabre14 - 2 kw9461 - 23 LBTrocks - 31 George Strait Junkie - 31 bboat11 - 41 bigfan101 - 60 Cody Wants Out... - 68 CoJoFan - 79 castleoblivion26 - 95 fearlessarrow - 97 g8erboi - 99 zaclord 🌈 - 99 Kanenrá:ke - 100 .indulgecountry - 104 carriefan15 - 105 someguy - 105 austin - 111 d3vin44 - 112 gonecountry - 113 tim - 113 toomuchboy - 115 rgreen0625 - 117 The map view of Scotland was the easiest hint I could find, considering the song is called "Bagpipes Cryin'" lol. "Bagpipes Cryin'" was the second-career (and final) single for Rushlow Harris. The duo was comprised of Tim Rushlow, formerly of Little Texas, Rushlow and his solo career and his cousin, Doni Harris, who was also a member of the band Rushlow. The signed to Show Dog in 2006 and released "That's So You" and this one, "Bagpipes Cryin'". This single peaked at #42 in late January of 2007.
I love this song. I'll admit, I enjoy some good bagpipes but for a country song to have them, it has to fit the song and this one did that, imo. The opening and ending is awesome with the bagpipes and the lyrics are detailed. I knew it would be out early since I'm sure a few never heard of them before this rankdown and it was a first time listen for some, but I still listen to this one to this day.

Okay tho, but "Bagpipes Cryin'" was a first listen for me, so I'm not sure what everybody else's excuse was...
I love Phil Vassar, and I enjoy "This Is My Life", but I will definitely agree it is not among his best. Something about the sentiment behind the song feels off-putting. It almost has the same "fuck everybody else, I only care about things that affect me!" sort of vibe to it that many republicans people have in this country, and that willful ignorance is why it hasn't held up well for me. Especially in our modern political climate. I will say that Phil makes effort to not take the song in a political direction, but it definitely still feels that way.
