Btw please help me get to the next page before I reveal the #10 because I don't want any more videos on this page that could slow the loading of the page... The #10 song has 10 top 10 ranks, and features vocals from a prominent female artist! Now you might have thought, "WHAT WHEN I GET WHERE I'M GOING OR WHISKEY LULLABY IS OUT ALREADY!?!?!" but it's not either of the two! The correct answer for #10 features background vocals from Carrie Underwood... (which is funny because "Remind Me" was the #11 song and it's two straight Carrie-related songs eliminated back-to-back) #10: "Online"
Points: 675 (18 points above "Remind Me", 1 point away from #9) Average: 15.875 Standard Deviation: 9.438 Album: 5th Gear US Country Radio Peak: #1

Btw, did I tell you that #10-#8 are each one point apart from each other? In fact, #10-#7 are super close!
Here's the point breakdown from #10-#6: #6: 747 ----(huge gap)---- #7: 684 #8: 677 #9: 676 #10: 675 ("Online")

It's funny that Carrie Underwood performed background vocals on this and then both Taylor Swift and Kellie Pickler also appeared in its music video, lol.
I'm happy with this elimination. "Online" and "Celebrity" are clever novelty songs, but they stand out to me against the rest of the Top 10 as songs that I don't think deserved to make it this far.

The #9 song is one of the only five songs that never fell out of the top 10 during the submission process (which also means I'm about to lose a top 10). Only 7 top 10s for this one, but no one seemed to really tank this song as it has the 8th lowest standard deviation of the rankdown.

In the opposite order, but I correctly predicted these would be the first two to leave from the Top 10! Yay!

"Online" and "Celebrity" are definitely both novelty songs, but they are 100% what I think of when I think of Brad's music. I love them both, but I vastly prefer "Online". The production tricks throughout that one are just so cool, from the tuba to the Mac startup sound to the literal marching band closing out the song. It's such a breath of fresh air as a song, and I am glad it is well-regarded enough to make the top 10 in this rankdown!

We have the first #1 loss of the night at #8, which was also one of the songs that never left the top 10 during the submission process. I'm actually kind of surprised this song only received 6 top 10 ranks and still managed to finish this high, but the song probably owes its success to the 9 ranks that fell somewhere in between #11-#15.

The novelty songs (“Online”, “Celebrity”, “Alcohol”, and even stuff like “Welcome to the Future” that other country artists don’t do that often) are part of why I love Brad so much. Even the novelty songs are done so well!

"I'm Gonna Miss Her" is his best goofy/novelty cut to date so I'm glad to see it was the highest placing among those in this RD. The way the hook first presents itself in the song is so perfect. Love it.

Speaking of novelty songs! "I'm Gonna Miss Her" is the original novelty song, and absolutely could have been in the top 5 and I wouldn't have questioned it. That being said, overplay has kinda burned that one on me a little, so I am also fine seeing it finish towards the bottom of the top 10. The lyrics are amazing, and I agree that the first instance of the hook is so unexpectedly brilliant.

The #7 eliminates a song from an album that still has multiple songs left (Who Needs Pictures, Mud on the Tires, and 5th Gear). This song scored 10 top 10s, with 3 of them being #3 ranks.

“We Danced" is such an ethereal, dreamy song. I always feel so warm inside when I listen to it. So sweet... :’)

"We Danced" is just such a perfect song... It is simple, but it tells a cute and believable story that has me rooting for all the characters And then it has a perfect melody for the subject matter, and country instrumentation on top of it! When I get a serious girlfriend/wife, you can bet that this is going to be one of the first songs I put onto our slow dance playlist Shame it wasn't a top 5 contender (although tbh I honestly didn't even think of it as a guaranteed top 10 contender, as it feels like one of his more forgotten songs! So I'm happy with this placement :) )
