The song charted on the Country airplay charts, has a steel guitar, and was sung by a contestant who was promoted as the first "Country Idol" winner.
Bo's was the rock version.

Name recognition in both cases - neither were big country hits in the end despite being #1 pop hits. They both got some play because of who was on the label. Judging by how fast they were dropped, they too probably realized that neither song was country,

Inside Your Heaven was indeed played at country radio because of the name on the song. Peaked at #52 though

We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together - Did indeed debut and peak at #13 on 9-1-12. The hype and buzz of a new Taylor Swift single who had previously been a country singer got it there

New Weeknd tonight, Sam Smith & Logic just dropped, and Ariana is coming very soon. Post Malone finished his album so I expect that to be out by at least next month, let's not forget Cardi B's album next week. Drake is dropping his album in June according to "sources."

Other than that we should hold out for new Rihanna and Beyonce, and apparently there's rumors about Adele dropping something soon? She said she doesn't wanna take as long of a break this time and it's been almost 3 years since 25 so it isn't a shocker.

Anything to kick xxxtentacleporn and Chris "Woman Abuser" Brown out of the Top 10 is good in my book.
