This sounds like Kenny circa 2010. Perhaps it will grow on me but at this point it sounds like everything else out there. So does it sound like a song from 8 years ago or does it sound like "everything else out there"? Because it has to be one or the other.

So sorry.
To clarify. It sounds a little dated to me. But moreover, what I meant by "everything else out there" is a lack of making me feel anything. So much of what is going on right now makes me feel nothing. This does the same. It gives me the feeling of nothingness.

Got to hear this for the first time today as part of my station's 'Hot or Not' segment - it sounded great and the results were over 90% positive. That's only one station of listeners, but that's a great response if you ask me. Hope this can be big for them.

The audio seems a little quiet or compressed, not sure if its just a bad upload or it wasn't mixed properly? The song itself is solid and quite pleasant, but not sure if it screams "comeback single". Let's be honest, these two need a big hit ASAP since they've been away from radio for a long time. I would not be shocked to see this fail to make the top 20.

It's on Spotify and sounds just fine to my ears. I'm so glad these girls are back!! I'm hesitant to predict how this will do at radio; that big chorus sounds like a hit to me and I think plenty of people will fine the song relatable...but there's the whole female thing. And females with more traditional instrumentation is just another strike against them. *Insert eye roll here* But I'm hoping this does well. They sound fantastic here.

I’m officially a fan.
This sounds like something they should be singing At their age, and it’s very relatable.
It’s undoubtable a country song with the production...but has enough current elements to have success on the current country radio climate.
I’m gonna say this at least goes top 10.

I really like this! So glad to see then back! Hopefully radio will give this one a chance after not fully supporting their last few singles (who deserved much more than they got chart-wise)

This is really good. Both of them are good songwriters. The line “And get chills with every accidental touch” may be one of the most relatable lyrics I’ve ever heard. Literally got the chills when I heard that on the radio this morning. I really hope this doesn’t flop.

I really like this! I'm very hit and miss on Maddie & Tae. I loved 'Sierra' (charts say I was about the only one, apparently) and I think this one is right there with it for me. I'm glad they are back!

I think this is okay. Feels like boilerplate from the first album. I hope the 2nd single is stronger.

I just looked at Mediabase, and no one added it as far as I can tell. I am sure some small markets may have, but maybe there will be an update on Billboard/County Aircheck on Monday. EDIT: I see the streaming/digital date was yesterday and nothing for radio yet.

I like this a lot. It feels very authentic and I love the descriptive lyrics.
I really hope they can secure another hit. "Shut Up & Fish" should have smashed and I'm still bitter about it. "No Place Like You" was also a missed single opportunity in my opinion.

I must have been on vacation when this came out because I didn't even know about it until today when it popped up on Spotify. This song is a smash single, in my opinion, and the best thing they have released as a single to date. In a better radio climate, I think this song would be an easy #1, but with how radio treats females today I am not sure how it will do. I HOPE it does big things and gets them back on the map, though.

34 adds on impact day. Makes a total of 35 stations. Second most added song this week behind Jason Aldean and Miranda Lambert's "Drowns The Whiskey"! I'd say this is a solid add number for Maddie & Tae!

Yeah the adds were solid, though I was hoping for a bit more like say around 45. Still it's not DOA and I expect it to have a decent second week. Hopefully it'll chart next week too.

I was also hoping for 45-50 adds to start off, but 35 isn't terrible. It's not super great though, either.
I really think these girls could benefit from another radio tour. Unless they went on one...but I don't think they did. IF they did, and then only got 35 adds, that wouldn't be a good sign at all. But anyway, I just think they'd benefit from being out there with the Mercury reps, because it's probably been a few years since they've visited most stations, and they're still a really new artist. I definitely think it would have helped if they had gotten out there with the Mercury reps just because it often helps radio when they see the artists with the label's promo team, and the last time they saw Maddie & Tae, they were with the Dot Records promo crew.

They need to go on another full-blown radio tour, if they didn't, like jhomes87 said. Bobby's show is a good showcase but it's one visit to a syndicated show and The Highway isn't a monitored Mediabase or Billboard station -- just for the Activator chart (Mediabase owned). It's been four years since they've been on one and that's a really long time away, especially since their last top 10 hit was almost three years ago ("Fly"). Programmers want to see the artist visit their station if they're new or brand new. Most know who they are but not coming out for a visit doesn't set the best example for trying to get them to buy into a new single. It's unfortunate that needs to happen but it does.

The beginning of the song sounds somewhat like "American Country Love Song," now that I think about it. I like this better though.
