Totally expected, but this album is phenomenal and continues her streak of putting out masterpieces. I've only listened to it once in full so far, so I can't offer much thoughts on favorites or anything yet, but I am never unimpressed with Ashley Monroe's work. She's definitely one of the absolute best in the country world right now, and it's a shame she doesn't get half the recognition she deserves. Thankfully she's always praised in the critical circles, if nothing else. She deserves the fanfare of country radio and more fans buying her music too though.

4860 pure sales first week (#35 pure sales all genre). The promos are underwhelming (not even selling higher than OCMS and Kacey Musgraves' fourth week).

If you count radio tours to stations no one listens to as promo then maybe yes. Warner Bros. Nashville doesn't seem to be interested in its female artists

Frankly, Ashley didn’t seem that into promoting the album. Didn’t they spend a lot of $ promoting her last album? Maybe it was a mutual decision because they knew there would be a low ROI.
They also classified it as singer/ songwriter instead of country.

The Blade had a pretty nice opening, so this was a fairly steep drop-off from her last album. It definitely didn't seem like there was as much buzz leading up to its release as their was for the previous record, plus "On to Something Good" actually got a push at radio, even though it did hardly anything and they stopped promoting singles from it after that failed attempt. It's a shame they didn't even try to get "Hands on You" to do something for her.
