Didnโt think Ariana ever had a chance to top the hot 100 because none of her past songs sounds like chart toppers but No Tears Left sounds like a No.1 song!
Would be a huge shame if it didnโt at ascend itโs way to the top of the chart.

Must be a laugh in streaming but Sugarland and Taylor Swifts collab, Babe, is already number two on iTunes. Ariana dominating digital sales however. Up to 66 thousand sales for Apple on last update, wonder how streamings going because they haven't updated the list probably top 20 or 30 I can expect by now. J. Cole was dominating that viewpoint at last check 15 minutes ago. Will monitor and update by 5pm or so One place it is doing well is YT with more than 7 million global views of the video. I see it is currently only #67 in Apple Music. |

Just read that Avicii passed away :( ... I do hope at least Wake Me Up and Hey Brother can find a way to re-enter next week's Hot 100. RIP.

Apparently, Avicii sadly passed away this afternoon. :'( Are his songs going to surge on iTunes? Is there a chance for "Wake Me Up" to re-enter the Hot 100, if it's in the top 25?

May Avicii rest in peace. I had no idea he was such a sick person, his longstanding suffering is now over and his songs will live on. May his loved ones find the strength they need to get through this. I had to check the peak for "Hey Brother", that song was pretty big, even my mom liked it.  |

Wake Me Up had a huge influence on my life in the early 10's, I heard it everywhere circa 2013-14, it was really my introduction into the EDM genre and that song still sticks with me all the time, the lyrics are very relatable, especially for me in that time of my life.
Sucks he passed, I didn't know he had so many health problems. I remember Wake Me Up was one of the biggest streaming songs at the time, it held the record for most streamed song on Spotify for quite a while. Hey Brother was also cool, only managed to get a #16 peak but I still remember hearing it all the time, another song with highly relatable lyrics.

Avicii was one of my favorite EDM producers of the early 2010s. He was so young. Wake Me Up is in my Top 5 songs of 2013.

They took it off the album due to negative reactions and released Dangerous Woman as the "official lead single" a couple months later, but this was technically the lead. How people didn't like Focus will alway be a mystery to me. I think it's a great song. My Feelings For You and Bromance are my favourite Avicii songs. |

I loved "Focus" immediately, and didn't realize till these threads that people hated it and that's why it was pulled. Was there like an actual article about that? I seriously missed out on all the hatred. Song was fun and catchy, had Jamie Foxx in it, video was colorful and sexy... Weird. |

I have a feeling No Tears is gonna be a huge hit, it's discounted on iTunes, it's video is almost at 10 million already, radio is already starting and will grow intensely in a few days, I expect streaming to be great since Ariana is big on streaming.
It could debut 200k+ first week, if it's out the gate with big streaming and radio it could debut at #1. It could sneak a quick week in before Post takes over the following week, I really don't think J Cole is much competition. Yeah he has streaming, but I highly doubt he'll debut #1.

The .66 i assume you saw means the percentage of how much a song is selling relative to the #1 song. So if that Sugarland song is at .20 right now (not sure if this is true or not as of right now) that means itโs selling 20% of what the #1 song (NTLTC) is selling at that moment. Now guys, donโt freak out about J Cole leading the top 13 on Apple Music with the exception of Nice For What. Apple Music is heavily urban-leaning. |

The chorus was polarising, but a lot of the hate was also about it clearly being a rip-off of Problem. It did great on streaming due to the video, which kept it in the top 10 for a few weeks, but otherwise it tanked after the first week. Which Top 10? If it's the Hot 100, it only spent a week in the Top 10 there. It did spend 5 weeks in the Top 20 though. |

I think it was allowed to have its full normal single run (which was simply quite front-loaded). However, afterwards they released a new 1st single and didn't put Focus on the album in the end. I don't know if there was any official confirmation as to why, but even though I love the song, I think it's quite obvious it was because it didn't do as well as they hoped. I remember it had quite a lot of dislikes on Youtube to begin with as well. In my opinion, Focus wasn't really a full-on flop. I think they could've still put it on the album and carried on as normal with Dangerous Woman as the 2nd single, but whatever I guess. Ariana survived Baby I at a more fragile time in her career when she was just a one-hit wonder, it seemed like her managers were panicking far more than they needed to. |
