"Flesh Without Blood"


The lead single off her 4th album "Art Angels" by Grimes released in late 2015, the song is a heavily dance-pop inspired which she describes as a "diss track to a fake friend". The song in itself is very upbeat and fun in nature despite it's lyrics, it was also one of the most critically acclaimed songs of 2015 appearing on several media outlets year end Top 50 lists such as the Rolling Stones. IMO, the song is just such a pleasant listen that always makes me happy and it was breath of fresh air of originality during late 2015 music.

Tamar Braxton - "Catfish"


Track #2 off late 2015 record "Calling All Lovers",  Catfish was also released as the record's 1st promo single released a month ahead of the album's release. The R&B poppy number is about an unfaithful lover who is trying to play with Tamar. IMO, it's my favorite song off this album and I wish it was released as an official single but unfortunately it wasn't.

Jojo - "When Love Hurts"


One of three simultaneous singles part "III" also known as Tringle released in 2015, it was Jojo's first official release following the release from her old contract and signing to Atlantic. It was our real first taste of what was to come with what would be her next album "Mad Love" a year later. IMO I LOVED all 3 singles equally, like they're all 3 really good tracks. I would have so included all 3 on the same rankdown, but I thought it would be too much so i ended up settling with When Love Hurts. I love the fun dancy pop energy this one gives off and it captivated me upon 1st listen, the music video was also really nice. Seriously questioning all the people who tanked this song.

Kesha - "C'Mon"


The 2nd single from Kesha'a late 2012 record "Warrior", C'Mon is a fun upbeat dancepop song basically about letting loose and partying. The song despite being in lane of almost all of Kesha's previous hits at this point in time, was her first single to not reach the top 10 let alone the top 20 on the Hot 100. Peaking at #27, the song also similarly is one of her least successful singles worldwide. IMO, I personally believe it didn't perform as well given the backlash Die Young was given for it's radio play right around the time of the tragic Sandy Hook shooting.

Kehlani - "Undercover"


One of my personal favorites off Lani's album "SweetSexySavage" the song is  poppy R&B track that samples Akon's "Don't Matter" and Bob Marley's "Zimbabwe". The song was released as a pre-order track but unforutunately was never pushed as a single. Though she did use the song for her Make Up For Ever, so that's the closest we got to a music video for this bop.
