That reminds me to check out that Allure cover. If they can sell the song better than Lisa Lisa, then that was my biggest issue.

Not really bummed about the losses of Friends or Nikita. I think the best part of the former was Gladys Knight (and that harmonica), while the latter was well-sung (if maybe moving a bit too slow).

But since both ended up in the low 70s on my list, it's fine.

Lol I thought I was being too generous with this, and it looks like I was right. :sip2: Although I did like this more than 'On My Own' with Patti LaBelle.

RE: 'On My Own' there were two things I didn't know about the song before this rankdown: 1) the female vocalist was Patti and 2) the male vocalist was white. The station my parents listen to is an easy listening station so I've heard the song a fair number of times, I just didn't know who it was by. Knowing the names behind it didn't change my perception of it; I'm just not a fan of that song.
