My sheer familiarity with this buoyed it a bit—probably should have given the album 2-3 full listens before submitting—but happy it’s out. I get it, but ultimately it isn’t something I use these days.

My good sis "One Sweet Day" is far from forgotten and that's all I have to say! And as the Queen said "you can check that with Billboard!"
No really this song wasn't always on my radar, but as I grew up and life started showing its lows, I came to appreciate it for its message. And for that I'm grateful that it exists.

people hate this song for stupid reasons. That's all I'm gonna say on that. This song is amazing and deserves better than 8th on this album.

Lol I ranked this right on time. When I was in the 11th grade chorus, we did this song. I was to be "Wanya" but ended up tryna do Mariah's parts too. It was a mess. Lol.

I had to check what I put ahead of this because #8 seems a bit low, but after WISY & OSD the air gets thin really fast.

I ranked this last because I’m most likely to skip this track, if I skip a track, but that doesn’t mean I could not sing every lyric, adlib, and vocal inflection back from memory. Just a testament to the quality of this album.

I love how she flips effortlessly between full and airy vocals. It's like she's drunk.

I wish I could have ranked Long Ago even higher, I find it a joy to listen to every time. It tells a good story, and I love her phrasing and the use of her voice throughout. Plus the closing adlibs on the fade out (which is something I love about a lot of her songs, those extra lines you have to really listen out for as the song ends).

It wasn't something I paid too much attention to until "HATEU," actually, when someone made a version that highlighted those fade out ad-libs ("I can't wait to "H A T E U 'cause right now I need you"). Now I make a point to listen to her songs with headphones to better catch the fade outs.

Sampled Stay With Me by debarge.

I'm on the edge of my seat. I feel like my favorite is either next or just barely made the top 5.

This was my first time listening to "Slipping Away", but I really liked it a lot! I wish it could've made the album instead of being a B-side, it's such a gem!

Had a feeling this would be next. This is far and away her best non-album track for me.

Awk. I had never heard this before, and it didn't really resonate with me a ton. *shrugs*

I'm glad Slipping Away reached as high as it did. I absolutely love this song and her tone throughout. There's so many parts that I love, like the "baby baby baby I'mmmm so afraid" and the final "awaaaaaaaaaaaaay" at about 4:06.
I wish we had a live performance of the song, beyond this little snippet:

The only time I can think of her doing this live (aside from that snippet) is when she visited a very sick fan and they requested it.
