Why in the nine hells is that mediocre Kane Brown song rising to #15? "You Make It Easy", "Marry Me" and even Brown's own "What Ifs" (a far better song) couldn't get that high. One word... Post Post Malone is causing "Heaven" by Kane Brown to get to #15???

Whoa I was sure Better Now would stay top 20. He might not get a second #1 from the album after all.

In cases like this, the entire album comes out all at once and every single charts for a week or two. The promoted "singles" happen one at a time. All the songs this week are charting because the album was released and no other reason, if radio picks up a song later, a song will rebound from that.

Recent example would be Walk it like i talk it. Debuted at 18, after 10 weeks in the middle region, peaked at 10 after being serviced to radio + video

Assuming Never Be the Same doesn't peak, it would reach #1 in Radio Songs in two weeks.

And what we're talking about is the opposite of a flop.

Second week drops after an "album bomb" are inevitable -- means nothing. If it was meant to be a hit, it will rebound laterHas that ever happened? Not being sassy, actually curious It happens all the time. The most recent major example is Ed Sheeran - Perfect. Katy Perry's songs E.T. and Last Friday Night both went top 20 on iTunes when released as a promo single/album track respectively, and they fell quickly. It didn't mean they wouldn't be hits. Honestly is just means that they're not on the radio yet lol. The most extreme example is Maroon 5 - Moves Like Jagger. It wasn't after an album bomb, but it's a case of a song that had a great first week (#1 on iTunes), went into genuine free-fall by falling out of the top 50 quite quickly (which is proof that a song will flop to many people), only to go on and become a massive hit. So after what happened with Moves Like Jagger you can never say just because a song falls quickly in week 2 and week 3 that it won't be a hit. Even before streaming, this happened with digital releases too. It was probably even more common in the digital era! Especially all the promo singles, they're not part of an "album bomb" technically, but the same principle applies that they inevitably fall because they're not getting any play on the radio, only to become a hit months later when they actually are a single. Taylor Swift - I Knew You Were Trouble is a good example of that, it debuted at #3 on the Hot 100 iirc and then just fell for a while, it didn't mean it wouldn't be a hit.
