Is “Drink One For Me” the same song Jason Aldean cut on his Night Train album? It seems like Josh Thompson was a co-writer on it too.

My Top 5
1."Drink One For Me" (Just a good country song) 2. "Summer Water" (super relatable for me, hoping it'll be single #2) 3. "Her World Or Mine" (Another actual country song, who would've thought we'd get multiple actual country songs.) 4. "Girl From Spring Break" (total guilty pleasure, just a real jam. If they are gonna release one of the pop/bro country songs to readio please be this one) 5. "Get To You"

"Her World or Mine" is my favorite. Absolutely enthralled with that one right now and can't get enough of it. This is another really solid album from Michael Ray. He's definitely got one of the best voices of the new crop of male artists out there trying to breakthrough. I hope he can get another smash with whatever he releases next because "Get to You" hasn't been the big hit that I wish it had been.

"Her World Or Mine" is the best song on the record. That is all. Country music at it's FINEST! I will need more time with the album to write a more in-depth analysis, but "You're On' may be my second favorite lol. Such a jam. "Summer Water" also sounds like a hit to me. Great song. Very good album! I think I like his debut better, but that may be just because I'm so much more familiar with it, and the fact that it's become one of my favorite albums I adore Michael Ray. He is the real deal. Fantastic vocalist and so many great songs!

There were. One of them was even a single. “Real Men Love Jesus” I mean I guess it’s subjective, but I would have a hard time saying songs like “Somewhere South” and “Everything In Between” don’t qualify as ‘real country’ songs. Hell, even “Think A Little Less” is more traditional leaning than a large majority of ‘country’ songs on the radio lol.

"Amos" underwhlmingly debuts at #53 on Billboard Top 200 albums chart. Yikes, that's awful. I just feel like Michael doesn't stand out at all. Does he have a good voice? Sure. But there are like 100 male artists all clamoring for country radio airplay, and Michael just isn't distinct enough, in my opinion. He's had a couple of radio hits now, but none of them were true smashes that moved the needle, and he's going to need one from this album otherwise I doubt Warner Nashville will continue to sink money into promoting him as an artist.

I agree. I was hoping his first album was just generic so he could gain some recognition and radio success before releasesing some more unique music. While there are a few good songs on "Amos" it doesn't appear as if they plan on releasing any of them as a single.
