One Unwritten Law may have a chance to make it in 1999: "Cailin". Meh. That song's just alright, but the other two would likely go in my Top 5 if they had made it. Pretty sure the only rankdown those would be in would be if the theme was Unwritten Law songs or songs The Box overplayed back in 1998.

I'm liking 7pm US Eastern as a solid timeframe for the beginning of reveals. Let's keep it going.
At #55, we take care of a song that was supported by fourteen top-half rankings. Three of them were top 20s, and an additional three were top 30s. The two highest rankers are people who have been losing big so far – they’re about to lose even more. Only three people ranked this bottom 20, with the lowest being a bottom 10. The bottom 10 is one that clears this person's, though.
This song spent two stints in the top half of the rankdown, one at the beginning and another towards the middle. They were short stints, totaling three lists combined.

Oh, well I'll take this random P-P-P-P-PERFECT RANKING to start the set. I think I didn't get a single one apart from the #1 in 2004.

#54 is the first reveal for a band with multiple songs in this rankdown. Four people ranked this top 20, and each person who did so found themselves on one end of a twin pair. In addition, there are three more top 30s and three more top 40s. Only one person ranked it bottom 10, but that person clears their bottom 10 with this reveal. Fun fact: each of the bottom seven rankers for this song have either cleared their bottom 10 or are one song away from doing so.
This song briefly flirted with the top half, but it spent most of its time on the outside looking in. Still, it never dropped below the top 60.

Should have known when "We're All To Blame" did poorly that "Still Waiting" would meet a similar fate.

#53 is our second song to have received no bottom 10 rankers. (“Take It Off”, if you recall, was the first.) A yet-to-be-topped NINETEEN people ranked it in the top half, though, and two of those are high top 20s. Two people ranked it bottom 20, and two more ranked it bottom 30. This song marks the beginning of a lengthy break from Year-End rankdowns for this artist.
Aside from one foray into the top 50 at the beginning of the submissions process, this stayed in the bottom half of the rankdown for a majority of the time. It did rebound from its low inside the bottom 40.

Two people ranked #52 bottom 10, and one of them clears it. One of those bottom 10s is a bottom 5. At the same time, three people ranked it top 10, with one going so far as to put it top 5. Two more top 20s and five more top 30s represent the high losses. It's the fifteenth-highest standard deviation in the rankdown.
This song started off slow, but it gradually rose into the top 40 before some low rankings sent it back to approaching the midpoint. Then, it received more support to break back into the top 40 before backlash sent it back into the bottom half for the first time in nearly 20 lists. It then hung on by the skin of its teeth at #50 before the final list sent it packing.

Oh, finally. As the RD went on, I was worried I was a huge outlier on Eve 6.
Couldn't find much to like about "Think Twice"; felt a bit hokey, especially with the title line.
This having such a high SD throws me for a loop, though.

Just as we enter the top half, one song has to get left behind. #51 is a song by a band that has several songs in this rankdown. At the top, it’s represented by two top 10s, both of whom ranked it at the exact same spot. It also received two more top 20s, both of whom ranked it at the exact same spot. This song also received nineteen top half rankings. Only one person ranked it bottom 10, but that person clears their bottom 10 with this reveal.
This song also started slow before bouncing in and out of the top half. It reached its peak late in the game only to fall out of the top half near the end.

We slam into the top half with a big reveal – the sixth-highest standard deviation in the rankdown! #50 received TWENTY top half rankings, backed the hardest by its three top 10s, one of which is a top 5 by someone who has already lost several high rankings. There were also three more top 20s and five more top 30s. On the other end, there were two bottom 10s, one of which is a bottom 5. Two other bottom 20s rounded out the low rankings.
This song had the highest peak of any song we’ve seen yet, almost reaching the top 25, but it fell hard and it fell fast, landing in the bottom half for most of the submissions process until it was saved by the final list.

#49 is yet another song that has no top 10s and no bottom 10s. A new high of 21 people ranked this in their top half, represented at the top by two top 20s and five more top 30s. Three people ranked it in the bottom 30 – only two of them were bottom 20, and no one ranked it bottom 15.
This song is the first to have never dropped into the bottom half of the rankdown throughout any time in the submissions process. It started off in the top 40, but then it fell only to move consistently within the 40-50 range.

#48, if anything, exceeded expectations I had for this song. Only one person ranked this song in the top 10, but it’s a top 5. Oh, something else – this is also the first half of a tie. Having received six more top 20s and three more top 30s. Again, no one ranked this song bottom 10 or even bottom 15, and the lowest rank for this is the highest we’ve seen yet.
This song, for most of the submissions process, was doing even better. It spent 24 consecutive lists in the top 40 and only fell out near the end.
