I was hoping this would do better than their other song. I figured it wouldn't, but I still hoped it would.

I have not been able to remotely stand anything I've ever listened to from Billy Talent. I'm just glad I wasn't the only low ranker, I just can't for the life of me see the appeal of that band.

Meh. That song's just alright, but the other two would likely go in my Top 5 if they had made it. Pretty sure the only rankdown those would be in would be if the theme was Unwritten Law songs or songs The Box overplayed back in 1998. Oh wow. The Box! Total nostalgic trip, man. That's actually where I discovered those two songs and got into Unwritten Law. They both got some minor play on my local Alt. station too.

Chart Peak: #30 Chart Weeks: 8 Feel free to share your thoughts on this song below! Man... I didn't follow the charts back in 2003, but I would have assumed from the amount of times that my former local station played this back then, it would have been Top 10 for the year. Makes sense though anything reggae-influenced here sparks interest.

That's actually where I discovered those two songs and got into Unwritten Law. They both got some minor play on my local Alt. station too. I only wish I got into the channel sooner, I started watching around 5 months before it was merged into MTV2. It's the thing that made me a music fan (that and those Nick Video Picks that Nickelodeon used to do). I remember the Halloween promotion where they played stuff like Come On My Selector, Stinkfist, Come to Daddy, Green Jelly's Three Little Pigs for some reason and that one rap video where he's on the operating table. On the same topic I don't think we'll be ranking the Chevelle videos the Box played before they were famous, although I think Point #1 charted on Active? And the Christian chart. Huh.

And on the subject of Evanescence anyone remember that one MTV show Video Mods? Where they took random video game characters like Bloodrayne and made them sing whatever was popular at the time? If you ever wanted to see a vampire chick sing Everybody's Fool you're in luck.

55. Falls On Me - Such a dull song. Glad it missed top 50.
54. Still Waiting - It’s decent, but they did this sort of thing better with “We’re All To Blame”. Ranking checks out.
53. All In The Suit That You Wear - A solid STP song, not their best but not their worst either. Could have stood to be in the top 50.
52. Think Twice - I thought this was quite bad, worse than their bottom 20 dweller from 2014 which at least was kinda fun and catchy. Surprised it lasted this long.
51. Swing, Swing - I thought this would do better, and didn’t expect “The Last Song” to outrank it (though I don’t mind that making the top 50). And only 2 positions above “Gives You Hell”? Come on. Good song, too bad they couldn’t keep making stuff like this.
50. Bandages - Love this song, though I guess it was bound to annoy some people. At least it cracked top 50, though I’m annoyed that I lost my first top 10 while a bottom 10 still remains.
49. The Last Song - Guess it didn’t beat their other entry by much, and it’s pretty close to where I ranked it. This is a bit melodramatic, but still enjoyable, with some nice synths.
48. So Far Away - Staind really lost whatever edge they had with this song (though they’d try to overcompensate for it later). Not awful but didn’t deserve to be their first entry into the top 50.
47. Buried Myself Alive - I agree with this being the lowest ranked Used song. It’s just as melodramatic as (if not moreso than) “The Taste of Ink” without having that song’s strong melodic appeal. But I don’t hate it or anything.
46. Hands Down - Could never get too into this one, another overtly melodramatic song without much to grab me musically.
45. Fall Back Down - Definitely the poppiest song I’ve heard from them, but still retains a good amount of their punky appeal. I dig it, but could see how it would be too repetitive for some people’s tastes.
44. Try Honesty - Had a feeling this was the bottom 10 that Red was saddened by. Sorry guys, I didn’t like this much then and I found it even more annoying when I revisited it. Bottom 10 (and 20) finally cleared!
43. The Hell Song - Hats off to Sum 41 for taking the verse melody of “How You Remind Me” and turning it into something better (not that I hate HYRM or anything). My favorite Sum 41 song, wish it could have outranked “Pieces”.
42. Going Under - Just barely missed my top 50, but I’m okay with where it landed. Pretty solid song, I prefer it over “Bring Me To Life”.
41. Bring Me To Life - And speaking of which… surprised to see this out so early, but I’m fine with it. Although, three bottom tens? I don’t love this song, but daaaaamn.
EXTRAS: I honestly thought TTMDWM was one of the lesser songs on that Hot Hot Heat album, but it’s still pretty good. “Set Me Free” is an enjoyable sing-along rock anthem, my second favorite from VR after “Slither”. “Go To Sleep” is one of my favorites out of Radiohead’s early 2000s output, and felt like a song that radio could have embraced. “Grey Street” is one of the better post-90s DMB singles, “The Saddest Song” is my favorite of the three Ataris singles from this era, and I always thought “United States of Whatever” was a hoot.

"Point #1" will be one of the first extras in 2000 Active. It charted at #40 for 1 week. In other words, in inverse points, "Point #1" got 1 point.

55. Falls on Me - FuelNot a very good showing. What the hell scared Albie off??? 54. Still Waiting - Sum 41Not bad. I'm still waiting for a new album by "The Sums". On a different note the MV is so true. I can just imagine the record company CEO's or whatever telling the band ,these days, shit like . "Guitars are out". "Add more hi-hats". 53. All in the Suit That You Wear - Stone Temple PilotsMe putting this one just outside the top 10, means I know you all too well, and didn't want to waste a top 10 ranking. That being said; While I do love this song; I don't think it's STP, top 10 material. 52. Think Twice - Eve 6 I used to love this one back int the day, but it hasn't aged all the well with me. 51. Swing, Swing - The All-American RejectsI really thought this would do a lot better here, but then a I realized this is way toooooo melodic for Pulse. :kii: 50. Bandages - Hot Hot HeatWTF? 8D You people really do prefer autotuned vocals. Best part of this song ar his vocals. It would probably be my #1 song, if it had said, "panda Jizz, panda Jizz". 49. The Last Song - The All-American RejectsNeedless to say, I charted about 3 more songs from this album. 48. So Far Away - StaindLame rank for a superb Alternative rock ballad. 47. Buried Myself Alive - The UsedThis one was the worst out of the three. Sounds like someone squeezes his balls during the chorus. There is one I ranked very high, that I hope doesn't show up any time soon? 46. Hands Down - Dashboard Confessional This one did very little ,to keep me interested. has some acoustic vibes here and there that bored me. 45. Fall Back Down - Rancid This band can do a lot better. Good vocals, but the hook in the chorus fails. 44. Try Honesty - Billy TalentDecent tune, but the fact you guys like this guys vocals more than John Hot Hot Heat's, bugs the hell out of me? 43. The Hell Song - Sum 41I'm ok with this rank. Glad to see great songs can sometimes get the right credit there. 42. Going Under - EvanescenceI'm just pleasantly surprised a song with female vocals and hard rock guitars, made it this high> 41. Bring Me to Life - EvanescenceThat settles it. I'm dealing with a bunch of trolls here. FUCK those stupid covers. 8D The top 40 looks more like my bottom 40 than anything else, and the fact that my #100 song is still in here, is downright creepy.

Talk to Me, Dance with Me - Hot Hot HeatAnother Top 10 song of mine, pulse, would probably crap on? Set Me Free - Velvet RevolverKnowing the treatment pulse gives Scott Weiland, I'm wondering how early, I would lose my #1 song, if I put this one on top of the list? :kii: Go to Sleep - Radiohead"Creep" and "High and Dry" and that's pretty much all she wrote. One More Minute - A uthority ZeroDidn't care to much for that one. Grey Street - Dave Matthews BandDave always did so much better with his band. The Saddest Song - The AtarisI thought this band was great. I'm surprised their songs are still in this rankdown? United States of Whatever - Liam LynchI hate it what the airwaves green light, shit like this.
