Kicking off the top 30 is something fairly soft and somewhat introspective in comparison to the rest of the remaining songs here.

This album had so. many. missed opportunities.

Who in their right mind would put this towards the bottom though?

Golden was such a good album. It's tragic they picked "Goodbye Town" as the second single over so many better options and then we got stuck with the re-release that only had "Compass" become a single and it's like one of the worst songs they've ever put out. Ugh. That era was such a mess. :'(

Not at all surprised to see "The Walk" leave already and I was actually going to guess it was the next one up considering the two George Strait songs referenced fatherhood. This song was released almost a year after my father passed and I very much remember connecting with it as a young boy. I still find myself putting this song on once in a while when I'm thinking of him.

I've never dived much into Lady A's albums but I do remember "It Ain't Pretty" being one of my favorites from Golden. "Nothin' Like the First Time" isn't bad but I didn't find it at all memorable and therefore it ended up towards the bottom of my list.

As many of y'all know, this was my #1 song for the 2017 Country Rankdown earlier this year (MUCH earlier) and probably one of the only songs I liked from last year.

I know that the chorus can get repetitive at times, but again, I reiterate, who in their right mind would put this in their bottom sixteen?

I'm not the biggest fan Dan + Shay's music overall, but "How Not To" is really a great song and one that I grew to like overtime the more I heard it. Even I was surprised to find it ending up in my top 20 for this rankdown.

I can't listen to anything by Dan + Shay. Don't like the songs and then you add their vocals, which I find to be absolutely terrible (personal preference, they're definitely talented) and you have a disaster for me. They're instant station changes for me all the time. SO glad "How Not To" only made the top 30.

Although their debut album is pretty much flawless and purely...



this track in particular blew me away and stood out to me in a hugely fantastic way.

The good news is no one put this in their bottom six.

Didn't rank this very high, but this song has been a pretty big part of my childhood (more specifically, my pre-teen and teen-hood :kii: )!

I still like it quite a bit and find it to be one of the strongest offerings from the 2000s, amongst countless others ofc. :kii:

Boo! I think it’s the lead singers voice that I don’t like for the most part, but I also find them to be incredibly generic and bland overall.

I am very surprised Emerson Drive did so poorly, that song is fantastic and so are they most of the time.

Ooof! We get rid of another highly-polarizing song here with what some people consider to be the signature song from the Kentucky Headhunters, despite it not being their biggest hit on the charts (the follow-up "Oh Lonesome Me" reached the top ten in the US and the top 20 in Canada later in 1990).

Four people lose a top ten, including a top five from d3vin44! Sorry guys! :'(

Although I ranked this pretty low, I must agree that this is pretty much a rockin' jam! However, I think it gets old pretty fast (i.e. high burn rate imo).
