GODDAMIT FU CK YOU X Don’t want this thread to get locked again so I’ll just add hat in addition to being a bad person, SAD is also a terrible song. If you don't want the thread locked, don't do the exact thing that the thread was locked for in the first place. Asserting your hatred of a dead man for the sake of drowning out his mourning fans? FU CK X? Nah. FUCK YOU (Am I allowed to say that?). f**k you for trying to let your hatred and negativity be the "last word". And escalating the thread further and expecting to not get a reply for it. Blatant personal attack much?? If anyone gets this thread locked it’s gonna be you, not be. Also while you’re allowed to mourn, I’m allowed to resent the fact that a homophobic rapist got the #1 song on Billboard this week. And as I said before, it’s not even (entirely) about him. Sad is an amateur piece of garbage with blatantly manipulative lyrics that really feel awkward coming from someone posthumorously. If Look at Me got to #1, I’d at least admire the novelty of such an abrasive song reaching the top, especially when it’s a song I somewhat enjoy myself. Funny how you’re the one saying that I’m the asshole when you’re the one who turned shi t personal.

Pulse is a place where any week a new Hip-Hop artist like X is doing well, we get to see them bashed by Pop heads. Oh well, oh well. That's all fine.
But we can't pump the breaks a little bit when a young man is SHOT TO DEATH? We gotta go extra hard on that day?
What am I supposed to say to Galaxy Girl?
"Oh yeah, not trying to escalate the thread again. But here. Let me flaunt my hatred towards a dead artist as blatantly as possible."
I don't get to say nothing to that? I'm just supposed to shut up and ignore it? Fuck that.

SAD! is the first #1 to come from Souncloud rap, correct? Also, SAD! is the highest peaking song from said genre and Gucci Gang is the second highest peaking song? Did Migos come from SoundCloud?

Oh, and nothing "personal". So if this doesn't apply to you, don't get offended by it.
Fuck anybody who goes by the motto of "guilty until proven innocent".

I never said fu ck you to his fans, I just said fu ck you to a homophobic, raping piece of sh it. This isn’t drastically different from when people have gotten angry at other artists who have blocked their favs before, and while I ordinarily try not to have that sort of reaction, it’s a little different when the artist in question is not only so terrible, but so unenjoyable. Also I hate to play the oppression card, but are you LGBT+? Have you ever been sexually assaulted? If not, then you may not understand why someone would resent a homophobic rapist so much. But coming from someone who has experienced sexual assault and is a trans girl, who are the primary targets of LGBT+ violence, I think it’s perfectly reasonable to hate the type of people that I fear encountering every day. I have a much higher chance of getting (sexually) or killed on a daily basis, and the fact of the matter is if I encountered X on the street and he realized that I’m trans, there’s a decent chance I’d become just another statistic.

People who cared about him are sad. What's flaunting your disdain for him accomplish? Other than pissing off the people who are feeling pain because of it. If you wrote what you wrote in a newspaper, that would be literal slander/libel. Have some decency. Take unnecessary hate somewhere else. YouTube comments seems like a good place. Maybe your Facebook wall? And I'm a transgirl too. If that matters to you.

Some of ya'll need some decency and respect Anyway I'm not necessarily a fan of XXX as a person during his lifetime, but I did enjoy various song of his fairly recently like the last few months
May he rip, regardless of the things he did, he's still a human being. I'm happy that SAD! skyrocketed to #1, it's one of my favorites rn
Besides I'm tired of Drake anyways so it helps with that

This comment might mean something were it not coming from a user who's listed their location as "liberating trolls" and whose current avatar is someone wearing a shirt that says "Suck my d[markered out]". Just saying, you seem to deploying this card seemingly only for convenience of an artist you like. Anyway, to say my piece, I'm not fond of SAD! having led because, in addition to the confirmed things like the beating of the homosexual man and his penchant for violence in his youth that make me dislike X as a person, it's not a good song. Its length and quantity of content alone makes it insufficient: less than 3 minutes, 3/4 of which are dedicated to the chorus, one tiny verse, and only two variants to the instrumental in progression just doesn't seem like enough for a hit, much less a leader. Then there are the lyrics, which I only recently realized are about X threatening to die if a girl leaves him (as opposed to the girl killing herself, I *really* misheard the chorus, which isn't helped by the far-too-mellow delivery), that are just not healthy or at least well-crafted. We already have to deal with the bad messaging of Lucid Dreams, I didn't want to have to deal with two of these problems when spinning the top 10 at the same week. I really hope it's not a candidate for #1 next week too. If my projections are right, it shouldn't, but I'm not placing too much hope into something unexpected not happening.

"Sad!" spent Friday, Saturday, and Sunday as #1 on Spotify. So it'll probably be the #1 song on Spotify again this week.
I couldn't imagine it dropping too far at all.

Whilst many of you guys have made decent points on X in regards to him being a negative person. Others have also made decent points as to him not deserving to die early.
At the end of the day we all need to realize that there is absolutely no hope left for this thread. Admins/Mods please do your thing and lock this bitch up.

I'll never understand the notion that someone automatically deserves newfound respect just because they've passed. You can recognize that a situation is tragic (like X's murder) while being indifferent toward the person involved. I haven't seen anyone say they're happy that X died. As far as I can tell, nothing said here has been truly vile. Of course, anyone is allowed to be offended, but we all have the right to share our opinions as well. This is an online forum. I highly doubt that any of X's loved ones are going to come here and read where someone said "fuck you X." It's really not that deep, and what was said certainly did not require a personal attack in response. If Sherane Lamar really thought the comment was so terrible, all she had to do was report it and move on.

It's about showing up on a thread and yelling "GODDAMNIT f**k X" in all caps the week of his death. In a place where fans of all kinds are trying to have a nice, enjoyable, productive conversation about the charts. Anybody can have an opinion. And I understand your opinion. I honestly get it. Because XXX said and possibly did things that disturbed me as well. And nothing's going to change the reality of all that. That's always going to be a part of his legacy. No matter what either of us say on this thread. But I don't understand why you need to come here of all places to vent that opinion. I don't understand why you need to show up and make bold, incendiary, unproven accusations against a dead man. It feels like an attempt to match positive feelings towards XXX with your negative ones. And that's just... pointless and mean spirited.

I highly doubt that any of X's loved ones are going to come here and read where someone said "f**k you X." It's really not that deep, and what was said certainly did not require a personal attack in response. If Sherane Lamar really thought the comment was so terrible, all she had to do was report it and move on. They're on here somewhere. Either that or they were deleted.

Plenty of people came to these threads annoyed when Drake, Post Malone, and Ed Sheeran got #1s recently, sometimes because those people didn't like them as artists, they didn't like the songs, or both. X doesn't get exemption from those statements just because he's dead.

Good for X. I'm not a huge fan of "SAD!" or his other music, but I'm glad he could reach #1.
I just hope "I Like It" will go #1 before it's too late.
