Drake’s label really should discount In My Feelings, it would #1 for sure then in two weeks.

Bad (1987/88)
I Just Can't Stop Loving You - 1 week at #1 Bad - 2 weeks at #1 The Way You Make Me Feel - 1 week at #1 Man in the Mirror - 2 weeks at #1 Dirty Diana - 1 week at #1
1987: 29 number-ones 1988: 32 number-ones
==================================
Teenage Dream (2010/11)
California Gurls - 6 weeks at #1 Teenage Dream - 2 weeks at #1 Firework - 4 weeks at #1 E.T. - 5 weeks at #1 Last Friday Night (T.G.I.F.) - 2 weeks at #1
2010: 17 number-ones 2011: 13 number-ones
It was much easier to hit #1 in the late-1980s/early-2010s. Let's see what Drake can do in 2018.

Wow all the #1s from Bad only have 1-2 weeks. Both of Drake’s got 7+ weeks so far.

Wow all the #1s from Bad only have 1-2 weeks. Both of Drake’s got 7+ weeks so far. True, but turnover was much quicker in the 80s due to how data was collected. Longevity in general was much shorter, with most big hit songs lasting less than 20 weeks on the Hot 100. Monster smashes Billie Jean and Beat It, for example, had 7 and 3 weeks at #1, respectively, but both worked their ways off the chart within 24 weeks. Like a Virgin spent 6 weeks on top, and fell off after spending its 19th and final week at #100.

Still think we need the third and fourth #1 before we start looking at the fifth
(Yes the third will likely hit next week but...how many of these songs will still be around in time for #5)

“Man in the Mirror” and “Last Friday Night (T.G.I.F.)” were the best number one singles of their respective albums in my opinion.

All of Katy Perry's #1 singles were bigger than Michael's within the context of their day - except possibly Man in the Mirror.

And honestly albums were getting back to back hits 1988-1991 like hotcakes. There was definitely an ‘advantage’ then (seemed like labels just had obvious influence if you asked me).

MJ's label was definitely working hard for those number ones, especially that record-setting 5th one: "Dirty Diana" had the shortest top ten/Hot 100 combo run of any number one song during the entire 1980s (5 weeks and 14 weeks, respectively). Payola? Maybe, but as a teenager when "Dirty Diana" was popular it certainly did feel like a big hit to me.

Payola? Maybe, but as a teenager when "Dirty Diana" was popular it certainly did feel like a big hit to me. All the Bad number ones seemed to have had average/below average runs for a #1 hit pre-Soundscan. pulsemusic.proboards.com/thread/174043/hot-100-1-ranked-pointsOut of the 761 pre-Soundscan #1 hits, these were the Bad #1's rankings: 358 MAN IN THE MIRROR (by Michael Jackson) 0.97 1988 606 THE WAY YOU MAKE ME FEEL (by Michael Jackson) 0.83 1988 657 I JUST CAN'T STOP LOVING YOU (by Michael Jackson And Siedah Garrett) 0.78 1987 681 BAD (by Michael Jackson) 0.75 1987 709 DIRTY DIANA (by Michael Jackson) 0.71 1988 4/5 in the bottom 20-percentile, and 3/5 in the bottom 15-percentile. Of the 9 albums with 4-5 #1's, 6/9 were from 1988-1991. 5 - Michael Jackson — Bad 1987-1988 5 - Teenage Dream, Katy Perry 2010-2011 4 - Bee Gees/Yvonne Elliman — Saturday Night Fever 1977-1978 4 - Whitney Houston — Whitney 1987-1988 4 - George Michael — Faith 1987-1988 4 - Paula Abdul — Forever Your Girl 1989-1990 4 - Janet Jackson — Rhythm Nation 1814 1989-1991 4 - Mariah Carey — Mariah Carey 1990-19914 - Usher — Confessions 2004 Also similar with albums that have most top 10s, 4/7 from 1988-1991. Born In The USA Bruce Springsteen 7 Rhythm Nation Janet Jackson 7Thriller Michael Jackson 7 Bad Michael Jackson 6 Faith George Michael 6 Janet. Janet Jackson 6Teenage Dream, Katy Perry 6 6 albums had 4-5 #1's in 3 years, then for the next 12 years after not a single album did it again. 4 albums had 6-7 top 10s in 3 years, then for the next 18 years no album did it again. That along with the absolute rapid turnover of the charts coincidentally from 1988-1991 says enough to me about the records (not to completely discredit the blockbusters then though, as many were probably very huge even if inflated a bit).

There's no question in my mind that pre-soundscan charts were incredibly manipulated from every angle. There was no reason for them not to be.
That said, the songs that topped the charts were definitely huge at the time. Peaks are overrated, but overall, general placement felt right in most cases.

Nonstop hitting #1 this week is the only way Drake will be able to tie MJ/Katy Perry’s record for most #1s on 1 album. I mean... he'd still need 2 more number ones first.

SCORPION WEEK RECORDS
1. Most number of songs in the top ten in a single week 2. Most number of debuts in the top ten in a single week 3. Most number of debuts in the top ten ever 4. Most number of top ten songs in 2018 5. Most number of top ten songs in a single calender year 6. Most number of songs in the top 20 in a single week 7. Most number of debuts in the top 40 in a single week 11. Most number of songs to reach the top 40 ever 12. Most number of songs on the hot 100 in a single week 13. Most number of debuts on the hot 100 in a single week IF Nonestop does debut at #1, here are some more records Drake is going to break; 1. Gets his 6th No 1 on the Hot 100, breaking his tie with Justin Bieber for the most among Canadians. 2. Gets his 6th number No 1 on the Hot 100, breaking his tie with Eminem, Diddy and Ludacris for the most among rappers. 3. Becomes only the 5th/6th (Michael Jackson currently has 29) act to have at least 30 top ten songs on the hot 100. 4. Extends his record for the most top tens on the Hot 100 this decade 5. Extends his own record for the most Hot 100 entries among soloists. 6. Scorpion becomes the only rap album with more than two No 1 songs. 7. Gets his record extending 20th No 1 song on the Hot Rap Songs chart, exactly double the acts in second place (Lil Wayne and Diddy). 8. Gets his record extending 10th No 1 on the On-Demand Songs chart. 12. Simultaneously occupying the top two positions on the Hot 100 for the second time in a calendar year 13. Having a non single reach No 1 on the Hot 100
Hes going to do about half of these whether or not Nonstop gets that #1 debut The Hot 100 article this week is going to be so stacked

Regarding the “non-single to hit #1” claim — Nelly and Kelly rowland’s “Dilemma” is arguably the first to do that. That song was not scheduled as a single yet and it flew to the top ten without promotion, and most of the “standard” single promotion stuff happened after it had already hit #1. Had streaming existed (or even digital sales) it may have also had a #1 debut.

Not a given in any way, in fact, very possible three #1's will be it.
The singles are already available, the initial hype will wear off soon and these songs may not have the power to stay around long enough to wait for hit #3 or even hit #4 to finish its run.

If Nonstop does indeed debut at one tomorrow, 4 is just about locked. Unless something bigger than In My Feelings drops immediately. Its currently the number one streaming and downloaded song. Its not like this is first week hype still, look at the 20 some songs that fell off quickly for that. If its radio play is even remotely good, it'll be number one in about 2 weeks

Hmmm...I guess my crystal ball is a little fuzzier. I can't predict 3 #1's into the future that well.
Lots of factors come into play...
-long running #1's -People might listen to songs that don't have Drake on it -Although it can certainly happen, it is rare, when all the singles are available from the get-go to have that many #1's from an album
You guys though, may also be right. Just too many variables for me to agree with the '4 is on lock, now the label just needs to campaign for 5 to tie Katy Perry" theory at this point, when the number currently is 2.

But I'm here for Gods plan, Nice for what, Nonstop and In my feelings hitting #1. Then the MJ song MUST be pushed for the 5th #1 and the Mariah carey song MUST be pushed with a new version of Mariah's vocals or something to get her a feature credit and this song must be the 6th #1. I won't accept any other option but summer games is still a vibe and would make a great closer album. I'd like drake to perform the MJ song at the vmas or amas and perform the mariah song WITH mariah at the grammys

As I expected, Drake essentially butchers the charts with another decent but not all that album Smh, disappointed but not surprised
I just hope to god most of these don't have longevity, but I fear they will
