I wonder why Ella Mai decided to release the remix this week, of all weeks since Drake is going to murder everyone, and in the middle of the week It could be the formula change. Boo'd Up will possibly be the hardest hit song by the new rules, at least at the top end of the chart. |

Yeah, while sometimes a remix is released to help get a song achieve a certain height, I feel like they're also released simply to give more exposure (and cross-fan-base promotion) to the song and the artist without laser focus on chart position. I feel like remixes provide options, and something extra for the fans of all artists involved.

"In My Feelings" is now going viral -- reaches #1 on Apple Music, #4 on iTunes and gaining hard as the new tracking week comes.
Can you imagine if this goes #1 next too?? 4 #1's from his album possibly.

Do we feel like Summer Games is a future smash or nah? I kinda thought it would get single treatment along with MJ's song over what they chose. Cuz, it's so good AND it's summer, duh! Too literal or wha?

Too literal or wha? I thought it would be a smash/single too. It's the best song on Side B, and it sounds like Pop radio would actually spam it to #1. But I guess since it's one of the worst performing songs on Spotify/Apple Music/iTunes his label is pulling away from it for right now. |

Well with Today's updates, In My Feelings is number 2 on Spotify with 2.1 Million and more than likely going to pass Nonstop by the end of the weekend and has taken the top spot on Apple Music. Drake has 4 number ones in the bag it seems, and if Don't Matter To Me really blows up and doesn't get blocked by In My Feelings then we'll have a 3rd album with 5 number ones.
2018 is a pretty wild year so far, and its only July.

Of course, this all hinges on that burst of streaming being enough to almost singlehandedly counter a more balanced set of chart points. Even with the reweight and Apple Music dominance on its side, it might not be enough. Recall that This is America led with 65 million streams but also 80 thousand ish sales and it was a close race between it and the Nice for What/Psycho tug of war.
