I like "Raining On Sunday" but I also agree it doesn't stack up with his best. I will always give Keith credit though, he is an artist that has had longevity without really creating two songs that sound exactly the same. He pushes stuff in directions I don't care for at times, but he definitely mixes it up and you can tell the dude LOVES music.

Finally. The opening guitar on "Raining On Sunday" is encouraging but the song totally falls apart after that. A bland mess.

Up at #28, another song with solid rankings all the way through except for two 100 rankings. Someone loses a top 5 as well. I was expecting this next song to be more polarizing but it wasn't...

#28. Sherrié Austin - "Streets Of Heaven"
Total Points: 883 Average: 44.1 Year Released: June, 2003 Radio & Records Peak: #15 Billboard Peak: #18 Rankings:bigfan101 - 3 castleoblivion26 - 12 austin - 14 LBTrocks - 19 gardyfan - 23 Kanenrá:ke - 24 CoJoFan - 25 .indulgecountry - 25 collinkottke - 28 someguy - 36 sabre14 - 38 toomuchboy - 38 Cody Wants Out... - 39 d3vin44 - 59 rgreen0625 - 61 zaclord 🌈 - 65 bboat11 - 77 tim - 89 g8erboi - 103 kw9461 - 105 Following: carriefan15@crapkuki23 "Streets Of Heaven" was the lead single from Sherrié Austin's album of the same name in June of 2003. It peaked at #15 on R&R in November. It was her only album for Broken Bow Records, who had only had success with Craig Morgan at that point. She wrote the song with Paul Duncan and Al Kasha. The track was produced by Dann Huff and Jeff Balding.
This was Sherrié's highest peaking single, the former being 1999's "Never Been Kissed", which reached the top 30.
WYRK got a ton of calls for this song. It stalled out in the teens because BBR was a newer independent label and this song is a slow sentimental with a religious tone, sung by a female artist, so it makes sense why but there were a lot of people in my market that loved it -- WYRK had it in medium rotation for at least two months.

There's some songs I just can't listen to because I'll start crying and "Streets of Heaven" is one of them. Another one is "Concrete Angel" so apparently 2003 was just trying to make me drown in a river of tears.

And I was right. Sadly.
This song means more to me due to the timing of its relase but i still think it’s so well written. Happy it nearly made top 25 though.

It peaked at #11 on R&R in March of 2003. It was her first top 10 single in four years

Despite my middle ranking for Deana, I really liked that one a lot. Had there been enough room in my top 20, I would've been more than happy to keep it there.

Clue for #25. Took me a few looks through the remaining songs but I'll go with one of my favorite underappreciated songs and artists, Brian McComas. I'm 99.9% sure I'm right.

#25. Brian McComas - "99.9% Sure (I've Never Been Here Before)"
Total Points: 844 Average: 42.2 Year Released: February, 2003 Radio & Records Peak: #8 Billboard Peak: #10 Rankings: kw9461 - 3 sabre14 - 7 collinkottke - 8 gardyfan - 8 LBTrocks - 12 bigfan101 - 32 austin - 33 zaclord 🌈 - 33 Kanenrá:ke - 41 castleoblivion26 - 46 Cody Wants Out... - 46 someguy - 46 bboat11 - 47 rgreen0625 - 49 CoJoFan - 53 g8erboi - 70 .indulgecountry - 72 tim - 76 toomuchboy - 76 d3vin44 - 86 Following: carriefan15@crapkuki23 The great one Wayne Gretzky, all-time leader in goals, assists and points in NHL history with his famous #99 jersey! "99.9% Sure (I've Never Been Here Before)" was released as the third single to Brian McComas' self-titled debut album in February of 2003, however the album was not released until July of 2003, as the first two singles ("Night Disappear With You" and "I Could Never Love You Enough") didn't reach top 40 on Billboard. The single peaked at #8 on R&R in August. It would be McComas' only top 10 single. He hit the top 20 on R&R in 2004 with the last single from the album, "You're In My Head."
Signed to Lyric Street Records, Brian would be dropped after "The Middle Of Nowhere" failed to reach higher than #39 on R&R in 2005. In 2006, he signed with independent Katapult Records where he released his Back Up Again album.
Love "99.9% Sure", as well as pretty much everything Brian McComas released to radio. This song had a great melody and was creative in its title/subject. I liked "You're In My Head" just as much. It's a travesty he never caught on with another major after he left Lyric Street.
