I get not liking Darryl because I don't 95% of the time, but I like this song! Any of the tankers care to share why they dislike it so much other than "it's Darryl Worley"? Lyrically, it's one of the worst things I've ever heard. Then add Darryl's voice on top of that, and you easily have my last place song, lol.

#59. Alan Jackson - "That'd Be Alright"

It peaked at #2 in April.
My god, the music video. The idea stems from the movie Bowfinger. Cinematographer Gerry Aschlag portrays a music video director, while former Sony BMG Nashville CEO Joe Galante is shown in the meeting and the late Steven Goldmann directed the entire thing.
Alan's had better but this song is just fun. I love, love the instrumentation -- it's the best part of the song and the production is great too. The verse lyrics are good as well. The only downside is the chorus gets repeated a little too much towards the end but that's just a minor complaint.

#58. Pat Green - "Wave On Wave"
Total Points: 1,189 Average: 59.4 Year Released: May, 2003 Radio & Records Peak: #3 Billboard Peak: #3 Rankings:collinkottke - 2 kw9461 - 2 rgreen0625 - 4 tim - 8 d3vin44 - 31 someguy - 39 toomuchboy - 40 sabre14 - 52 CoJoFan - 57 bigfan101 - 57 gardyfan - 61 bboat11 - 63 g8erboi - 78 Cody Wants Out... - 79 austin - 83 .indulgecountry - 101 KanenrĂĄ:ke - 101 castleoblivion26 - 105 zaclord đ - 112 LBTrocks - 114 Following: carriefan15 @crapkuki23 "Wave On Wave" was the lead single for Pat Green's album of the same name in May of 2003. It peaked at #3 in November. The song was promoted to radio through Universal South Records. Pat had been releasing music in Texas since the mid-90's before hooking on with Universal in the early 2000's. This was his highest peaking single on mainstream country radio and one of two R&R/MB top 10 singles ("Feels Just Like It Should"). "Wave On Wave" was nominated for Country song of the year at the 2004 Grammy Awards.
Another nostalgic song. "Wave On Wave" was very distinctive -- nothing else sounded like it at the time but it stayed within the country genre. I like a few others from Pat more but "Wave On Wave" was a great song.

#57. Diamond Rio - "I Believe"
Total Points: 1,185 Average: 59.2 Year Released: November, 2002 Radio & Records Peak: #1 Billboard Peak: #1 Rankings:toomuchboy - 6 Cody Wants Out... - 7 CoJoFan - 24 g8erboi - 25 collinkottke - 30 castleoblivion26 - 32 sabre14 - 35 d3vin44 - 44 KanenrĂĄ:ke - 57 zaclord đ - 59 rgreen0625 - 70 bigfan101 - 73 someguy - 73 LBTrocks - 75 gardyfan - 81 bboat11 - 83 .indulgecountry - 100 tim - 100 kw9461 - 103 austin - 108 Following: carriefan15@crapkuki23 "I Believe" was the second single off Diamond Rio's album Completely in November of 2002. It reached #1 in May of 2003. The song was co-written by singer-songwriter Skip Ewing, who had two top 10 singles in the 80's, as well as one of the most played original Christmas songs in the 90's with "Christmas Carol."
I am a fairly religious person but sometimes these songs come off preachy but "I Believe" doesn't, imo. Diamond Rio once again has had some better songs but I enjoy "I Believe." I was surprised it was able to hang on for 25 weeks to get to #1 in 2003, especially with all the competition around it at the time.

#56. Rushlow - "I Can't Be Your Friend"
Total Points: 1,180 Average: 59.0 Year Released: April, 2003 Radio & Records Peak: #14 Billboard Peak: #16 Rankings:bigfan101 - 10 kw9461 - 16 sabre14 - 22 austin - 29 gardyfan - 33 g8erboi - 34 Cody Wants Out... - 41 collinkottke - 50 CoJoFan - 51 bboat11 - 56 LBTrocks - 68 castleoblivion26 - 69 tim - 73 someguy - 76 toomuchboy - 81 KanenrĂĄ:ke - 86 zaclord đ - 92 d3vin44 - 96 rgreen0625 - 96 .indulgecountry - 99 Following: carriefan15@crapkuki23 "I Can't Be Your Friend" was the lead single to Rushlow's debut album, Right Now in April of 2003. It peaked at #14 on R&R in October. It was co-written by Rodney Clawson, who would go on to be one of the most prolific songwriters in Nashville. Rushlow was signed to Lyric Street Records.
The band was fronted by Tim Rushlow, who was the former lead singer of Little Texas and then went on to have a solo career before starting Rushlow. The band disbanded in 2004 after just a three year stint. Tim Rushlow later formed duo Rushlow Harris in 2006 with former Rushlow guitarist and cousin Doni Harris off Show Dog Nashville.
This song was just there when it was charting but after paying attention to its lyrics and some life experience, I grew an appreciation for it. There's a reason Tim Rushlow kept getting record contracts, because the guy was super talented.

#54. Mark Wills - "When You Think Of Me"
Total Points: 1,143 Average: 57.1 Year Released: March, 2003 Radio & Records Peak: #24 Billboard Peak: #28 Rankings:toomuchboy - 4 castleoblivion26 - 13 zaclord đ - 20 Cody Wants Out... - 23 CoJoFan - 28 kw9461 - 36 LBTrocks - 42 .indulgecountry - 50 rgreen0625 - 51 sabre14 - 51 bboat11 - 54 tim - 63 d3vin44 - 67 collinkottke - 74 bigfan101 - 78 austin - 82 someguy - 89 g8erboi - 101 KanenrĂĄ:ke - 107 gardyfan - 110 Following: carriefan15 @crapkuki23 "When You Think Of Me" was the second and final single off Mark Wills' Greatest Hits album in March of 2003. It peaked at #24 on R&R in late June. The song was written by Brett James and Troy Verges.
I really enjoy the vocal arrangement and melody of "When You Think Of Me". There's a reason why "19 Somethin'" was the huge hit but this song was great too. The heavy recurrent play for "19 Somethin'" really sunk this song. An on-air personality at the time once told me once why spin this song when we have a guaranteed research monster with "19 Somethin'". When a song is that massive, it makes sense why the next single would have an uphill climb.
