Submitted!
This was hard. I like most of my top 70 and even songs quite a bit lower than that aren't, like, awful by any means. Oh how country has fallen since 2003...

1. Which songs will be in the top 5?Dixie Chicks, Sara Evans, possibly a mix of Shania / Gary Allan
2. Which songs will be in the bottom 5? Hopefully Chrome at least. Probably Mark Wills' "And The Crowd Goes Wild." Probably something from Darryl Worley and/or Chris Cagle for the others.
3. Which songs will be the most polarizing? Not sure, but I can see the Wynonna, Mark Wills, Jeff Bates, Garth Brooks, and Faith Hill songs being polarizing. "This Is God." I don't know about "Three Wooden Crosses." I love it, but I think I was in a rankdown with the song before where a lot of people seemed not to care for it.
4. Which songs will be the least polarizing? Keith Urban, Shania.
5. Which non-top 20 single(s) will place the highest?I'm not sure what did and didn't go top 20 to say, lol.

1. Which songs will be in the top 5? "Travelin' Soldier", "She'll Leave You With a Smile", "Man to Man", "Backseat of a Greyhound Bus", and maybe "Speed" or "The Baby" (would also like to see "Three Wooden Crosses" as a contender)
2. Which songs will be in the bottom 5? "The Truth About Men", "Have You Forgotten", "Sell a Lot of Beer", "And the Crowd Goes Wild", and maybe "Chrome" or "I Want My Money Back"
3. Which songs will be the most polarizing? This is always a hard one to predict with a rankdown of this size...so maybe "Cowboys Like Us" or "Concrete Angel"
4. Which songs will be the least polarizing? "Backseat of a Greyhound Bus", "Travelin' Soldier" and maybe "Speed"
5. Which non-top 20 single(s) will place the highest? I'd have to look this up as I'm not sure off the top of my head what didn't make the top 20 so no guesses

1. Which songs will be in the top 5? Guessing that these songs will all have a good shot: "Backseat of a Greyhound Bus," "Travelin' Soldier," "Brokenheartsville," "What Was I Thinkin'," and "Walk a Little Straighter"
2. Which songs will be in the bottom 5? Bunch of no-name stuff mostly. Also maybe "And the Crowd Goes Wild," "Chrome," something from Darryl Worley perhaps.
3. Which songs will be the most polarizing? "Picture," "Three Wooden Crosses," maybe some of the Toby Keith and Lonestar songs.
4. Which songs will be the least polarizing? "Brokenheartsville" seems like a safe bet.
5. Which non-top 20 single(s) will place the highest? Idk where like half of these peaked off the top of my head, but... maybe "Was That My Life"?

The song was released on the heels of the top 30 peaking "I'm Not Breakin'" in 2002 (another non-album single). The song peaked at #31 on R&R in March of 2003. I'm a fan of this song and most of Steve's singles, but this one is definitely not remembered by most, so it being last isn't a huge shocker. Just to give people a visual image of how quickly songs moved back then, here's the R&R chart when "Rock-A-Bye Heart" peaked. It only lasted 6 bulleted weeks and 8 total. Labels didn't stick with songs after signs of struggle the way they do nowadays.

One of the rare times I don't totally hate a Steve Holy song, and it's out first. Still didn't rank it high though, so no real loss there.

#114. Sammy Kershaw - "I Want My Money Back"
Audio on iTunes Total Points: 1,719 Average: 85.9 Year Released: January, 2003 Radio & Records Peak: #28 Billboard Peak: #33 Rankings:gardyfan - 28 rgreen0625 - 37 sabre14 - 57 LBTrocks - 64 austin - 68 toomuchboy - 70 kw9461 - 85 g8erboi - 86 castleoblivion26 - 87 someguy - 88 .indulgecountry - 89 d3vin44 - 98 tim - 102 bboat11 - 103 Kanenrá:ke - 105 bigfan101 - 106 zaclord 🌈 - 107 CoJoFan - 112 collinkottke - 112 Cody Wants Out... - 115 Following: carriefan15"I Want My Money Back" was the lead single for Sammy Kershaw's album of the same name in early 2003. It peaked at #28 in March. It was his only album for Koch Records -- the same label David Lee Murphy scored a top 5 hit in 2004 with ("Loco"). The label folded not long after. The song was written by Sam Tate, Annie Tate and Dave Berg...the same writing trio that wrote "If You're Going Through Hell (Before The Devil Even Knows)" by Rodney Atkins.
Another non-surprise. Sammy doesn't give a strong vocal in this song on some of these notes but it's a fun diddy I enjoy.

As a big Sammy fan I'm not surprised. Probably his worst single release.

#113. McHayes - "It Doesn't Mean I Don't Love You"
Total Points: 1,718 Average: 85.8 Year Released: March, 2003 Radio & Records Peak: #38 Billboard Peak: #41 Rankings:toomuchboy - 27 Cody Wants Out... - 38 kw9461 - 57 .indulgecountry - 73 Kanenrá:ke - 79 austin - 80 LBTrocks - 82 g8erboi - 84 zaclord 🌈 - 86 bigfan101 - 88 bboat11 - 91 castleoblivion26 - 93 sabre14 - 98 rgreen0625 - 100 d3vin44 - 102 gardyfan - 105 CoJoFan - 108 collinkottke - 108 someguy - 109 tim - 110 Following: carriefan15 McHayes was a duo established in 2003 by Wade Hayes and Mark McClurg. Hayes was a country artist in the 90's with six top 10 singles. McClurg was a musician in Alan Jackson's road band. They released their single "It Doesn't Mean I Don't Love You" in March of 2003 and it peaked in July. Their only album for Universal South Records was shelved and they disbanded in 2004 after their second single -- a remake of Don Williams' "Tulsa Time."
I like this song, but 2003 was so strong I ranked it at the bottom of that cluster (only my bottom 10-15 I'm not a fan of, really). The vocal delivery took a while to get used to but I liked Wade Hayes as a solo artist in the 90's and I wish this duo would've lasted longer than a year.

I'd never heard this song (never heard of the performers either) before, but I really liked it. I wouldn't have thought this would go out in the bottom ten.

Up at #112, we have an artist who made most of his time at radio in the 90's.

I thought most of these forgettable singles from the no name acts weren't anything special, but the McHayes one was one of my favorite discoveries among those. I think it deserved a little better here, but I'm also not heartbroken its out at all.
ETA: Okay yikes, I really liked that Tracy Byrd song. I knew it wouldn't do that well here, but I didn't expect it quite this low.
