Y'all did Toby dirty. i think that's one of Toby's more underrated songs. Back in '03 I probably would've had it in the top 10, even though I've cooled on it some, it's still one of my favorites from Toby's prime.

We have reached the top 100 but I thought I'd highlight a song that looking back, I probably should have included in this rankdown. The Warren Brothers recorded a song written by Tom Douglas called "Hey Mr. President" in 2003 and released it to radio through BNA Records. It only spent 5 bulleted weeks on R&R (7 total), peaking at #27 in May of 2003. It was a timed release as country radio was in a patriotic mood from 2001-2004. It was later included on their compilation album titled Barely Famous Hits in 2005. 2003 Rankdown Extra: The Warren Brothers - "Hey Mr. President"

Oof! Not really hear for these 90s artist purges, especially with Toby's "Rock You Baby" and Aaron Tippin with his daughter wife. However, I found Rick, Travis, and Vince's "Someday" pretty boring and uneventful. It's a shame about Travis, though, as I'm generally a fan of a lot of his material. :(
The only redeeming quality for "And the Chow Crowd Goes Wild" is that "you're shining like a superstar baby" hook imo. That was actually one of the songs I heard frequently back then!

I've been trying to get over y'all not allowing a song from a Country Music Hall of Famer into the Top 100 and it ain't happening. You deserved better, Vince... Maybe not a lot better since this year is stacked and this isn't your best song, but you deserved a little bit better.

"Hey Mr President" is amazing. I've always been a fan of the Warren Brothers and this song is up there as a favorite. I probably would have had that song top 5 tbh

I probably would have had that song top 5 tbh I’m hit or miss with these sort of songs but this one hit for me as well. It wasn’t really a song treated as a full promoted single. They let it go almost immediately after its release. I would have ranked this in the top 30-40.

I'm bombing here, lol. I'm especially laughing at being the highest rank for a Vince Gill song, considering I normally can't stand Vince Gill.

I finally have only one bottom five remaining! Never liked Cyndi Lauper, nor this song in particular. I found Pinmonokey's version to be even more lethargic and became more so after each listen. However, I expect it to go pretty far...

“Half A Heart Tattoo” is amazing and I adore Jennifer Hanson. I knew it would get done terribly dirty tho. Actually I think a lot of my top 10 will. I’m not expecting great things from this Rankdown lol

Not surprised to see “In Your Dreams” out so early as I never expected it to do well here, but this is one of the albums I remember purchasing while I was deployed and had it on repeat quite a bit. I’ve been a fan of Rick Trevino going back to his “Doctor Time”/“Learning As You Go” days and he’s also an Austin native so he plays frequently around the state of Texas and can often be heard on the radio locally.
I also wasn’t surprised to see “Love Like There’s No Tomorrow” by Aaron Tippin (and his wife!) leave so soon, but this is another song that I’ve always really enjoyed and thought both sounded really good together. I haven’t met very many country stars but I did get the chance to meet Aaron at a local county fair in Nebraska a few years before this song came out and he has to be one of the nicest guys I’ve ever come across…that encounter alone made me like his music a tad bit more and probably contributed to my higher ranking for this one.

"Doctor Time" is one of my favorite country songs from the 90's. It's such a jam.

Up at #94, someone loses a top 10 and yet another Canadian artist.
