We all know that 2018 is the year of Drake, Cardi B, and Post Malone. But besides them, who else is having the best year? Maroon 5? Ariana Grande? Marshmello? Khalid? and why.

I'd say Migos. They had a very succesful album, and 3 top 10s out of it

I'd say Migos. They had a very succesful album, and 3 top 10s out of it Good point. But it looks like they are done after Walk It Talk It. They seemed much bigger in 2017 though.

It will probably be Ariana when all is said and done. I think her album will do well and will spawn more hit singles.

Maroon 5. Though What Lovers Do was a hit last year arguably the best thing off the Red Pill Blues era, Girls Like You is taking them back to Sugar-like success. It may even go beyond that. Quite impressive.

Camila Cabello. #1 single Havana which is the most streamed song ever by a female artist. Another top 10 hit Never be the same which topped the airplay chart for 4 weeks. A #1 album and a successful tour.

I'd say Camila Cabello as well for now. But after Ariana's album release it'll probably be her. And who knows, Childish Gambino already had a #1, just released two new song and rumors has it, that an album is coming soon.

Camila or Ari. Childish Gambino definitely has a shot too, "Summertime Magic" is shaping up to be a hit and he still hasn't dropped his album that he hinted at when "This Is America" was released. Oh and XXXTentacion too, even if mostly posthumously.

I wouldn't say XXXTentacion is having a great year...
Right now, probably Camila. Ariana might beat her if Camila doesn't get another hit single.

Ari honestly is the strongest and most consistent of modern female pop artists so my bets are on her She also happens to put out more memorable work and performances than her contemporaries

Let's see Ariana get a Billboard Hot 100 #1 first and get 4 weeks #1 on airplay. So far shes got neither. The way it looks now No tears left to cry will only get 2 weeks at #1 on airplay.

Don't want to sound to biased but Kendrick has the Black Panther album, spawning 2 top 10 hits and another near top 20 one plus LOVE. peaking at 11 and also became the first non jazz/classical artist to win the Pulitzer.
Other options -
Kanye - 2 big albums in back 2 back weeks then production on Pusha T, Nas and Teyena Taylor's long awaited albums (plus he helped bring Push back into mainstream relevance)
Camila - all previously mentioned
X - musically of course

For me, it's either Ariana Grande or Kendrick Lamar.
Ariana Grande - Her single No Tears Left To Cry did very well on the charts, while God Is A Woman (and so does Sweetener) is shaping up to be successful too.
Kendrick Lamar - The Black Panther did well on the charts this year, spawning 2 Top 10 singles and a very catchy meme came from one of its songs.

Camila isn't even a household name yet. She had one huge smash (that carried over from 2017 actually) and one not-as-big-but-still-successful hit that entirely belongs to 2018. Would many artists hope for that? Sure. But it's not nearly enough to say she's one of the year's top acts. People aren't really checking for the full package.

Never be the same was #1 in airplay for 4 weeks this year and peaked at #6 on the hot 100. Havana was #1 in airplay for 7 weeks and was #1 on the hot 100 in January and her album debuted at #1. Ariana Grande No tears left to cry was #1 in airplay for only 1 week and it peaked around #7 on the hot 100. So I would say so far in 2018, Camila has had a better year.

I didn't directly compare the two. I said Camila is not an A-lister yet and didn't even mention Ariana. Btw "No Tears" peaked at #3 on the Hot 100 ;)

Sure Havana and NBTS happened but Sangria Wine flopped hard Ari has had huge press and Sweetener will be a smash Sangria Wine did better than The Light Is Coming, plus Bed and Dance To This where massive flops *ahem* Uno: The Light Is Coming was a PROMO single Dos: Bed isn't HER single, it's Nicki's and she is the feature Tres: Dance To This is Troye's single and he isn't even a big artist on charts so no surprise. Cuatro: God Is A Woman is so far performing very well and has generated a TON of buzz with it's music video Cinco: Sweetener is out next week and is definitely set to do super well Seis: Sangria Wine was a flop single, no defense for it. I like the song though And then generally Dance To This was trendy enough to where some people know about it, at least people in the high school age demographic like me. God Is A Woman also culturally has had the impact of a big hit anyways since the music video was massively talked about.

well now this question is super obvious
Travis Scott
if SICKO MODE or some other song charts really well you could consider his year better than Cardi or Post tbh
