There's a good chance Nicki will surprise fans by dropping Queen tonight. She is definitely dropping something big tonight because she is building it up on her radio show.

I don't know what it is with Americans refusing to let Ed Sheeran songs die. You say this as if his songs don't have ridiculous longevity in other countries Thats true I agree! But I'm more so saying this because it looks like Perfect is on track to surpass 52 weeks which would make it his third song to do so (crazy) and also because Perfect is still lingering within the top 20 of radio.

It's crazy to me how global "Shape Of You" was. It was #1 or #2 (behind Despacito) on virtually every year end chart for 2017, and is still charting in 2018 for some countries. The only global hits I can really think of are Happy, Despacito, I Gotta Feeling, Poker Face which basically hit #1 or #2 on almost every year end chart Yeah, it has over 30 million copies (digital + streaming) WW Yeah not only did it smash worldwide, it smashed in the US too. Other "global" hits like "Hips Don't Lie" was decent in the US and "Hung Up" definitely underperformed, but nothing like the hits I mentioned above.

Mid day release.... Ok. Where's the good decisions this era Nicki? From cutting Barbie Tings, which I'm sure is gonna be better than at least 8 songs on the album, to working with an actual pedophile for clout, to trying to beef with Cardi for no reason at all besides her being the new hotness, to not knowing that samples needed to be cleared. The rollout of this album is iconic in all of the wrong ways.
Well I'm still hoping there's an actual hit from the album so there's not another 3 year wait for an album for her fans.

EVERYTHING about this era has been a mess and could have easily been handled better by her. If her run of lead singles have proven anything, it's that the general public really isn't here for her. Something is being said when only your features do even remotely well. Also, is it just me who has noticed how radio hasn't touched any of her singles? They've all done TERRIBLY on radio, what's up with that? Even Fefe is doing really poorly on radio. Nonstop is currently at 117 on overall radio while Fefe is still stuck at 124 and Fefe got it's start on radio almost two weeks before Nonstop. What's happening? For her sake, I hope she does land some sort of hit because she seems to be spiraling out of control. It's also sad that she's got like 6 more albums to release under Cash Money. Drake knew what he was doing going on the ridiculous run he's been on since 2015 till now, releasing 5 projects in that period, and now he's out of his deal. Lil Wayne is finally out of his deal, too and has finally cut ties with Cash Money, leaving Nicki as the new cash cow and she'll be thoroughly milked going forward.

"Lucid Dreams" isn't doing very well on radio. I honestly thought it felt like a more radio-friendly song than its airplay numbers seem to suggest...

Lucid Dreams picked up on Spotify in May but it’s still gaining at #37 in August??? It peaked on the Hot 100 in June. I’m confused.

Nicki's Queen era can be fixed, or at least patched up if she can land a real smash hit as a lead artist. Chun-Li reached #10 and did moderately well, but it wasn't a huge smash.
I thought Bed would fix this mess but radio dropped that song like a rock, it kind of looks like the GP isn't here for her this year.

"In My Feelings" is no longer #1 on Spotify And now it's back to #1. It was #1 for yesterday. It's also #1 and #13 at iTunes, and it's #3 in overall airplay. Not that downloads matter much anymore, but it's so weird "God is a Woman" is tanking in sales considering "NTLTC" did well. It's holding up on Spotify, though, so it's all just weird.

Is this a hot 100 thread of an album thread?
But I am ready for Nicki and Ariana to post multiple entries on the hot 100 and shake things up.

I can agree on all levels with Owen. Queen will likely "flop" on streaming but I feel like Ariana's won't do that much "better" either. I feel like until EVERYONE knows about this whole streaming thing that we really won't see females necessarily "takeoff" until then imo. More females and the GP need to stream and plus Nicki's peak has came and went. Sweetener will probably have the biggest streaming week for a female pop album ever. GIAW and NTLTC are/were doing really well on streaming and that's usually an indicator of how well the album will do there.

What's the biggest streaming launch for a female so far? Lemonade?
I can't see Ariana touching those numbers.

What's the biggest streaming launch for a female so far? Lemonade? I can't see Ariana touching those numbers. Invasion of Privacy's debut week had the largest on-demand streaming week for a female with 202.6 million. Lemonade is second with 115.2 million.

IOP had 202M vs Lemonade's 115M streams. www.billboard.com/articles/columns/chart-beat/8337801/cardi-b-invasion-of-privacy-debuts-at-no-1-on-billboard-200-album-chartTried to search for pop ladies, but all the #1 albums since Lemonade ( Witness, Rainbow, Hopeless Fountain Kingdom, Beautiful Trauma, etc...) relied heavily on sales. Reputation had a delayed Spotify release.

i wonder if tidal’s fake numbers had to do with it.. but anyways damn that’s prettty good for being only on 1 streaming site. Would have done more than 200m if it were on Apple Music or Spotify !

I think she can easily out do lemonade but the only females I think that are gonna touch Cardi anytime soon are Adele and Taylor... Both of which aren't coming til next fall at best and both have bad history with streaming.
Oh and Rihanna if the pre release songs do good, which they will be because this is Rihanna
