Finally, a third single selection that I'll live with.

Isn't this their fourth single? They've released Box Full Of Sharp Objects, Taste of Ink, and Blue and Yellow - unless I've gotten one of those songs confused or something. ?_?
Never heard this song, but I look forward to it. Blue and Yellow was great.

Never heard this song, but I look forward to it. Blue and Yellow was great. You're thinking of The Used. And even if this was The Used, it'd be their fifth single. AFI's released "Girl's Not Grey" and "The Leaving Song Part II".

Lol. How do you know about "Box Full Of Sharp Objects"' existance as a single (which I didn't) and then not know it's by The Used. I've never seen such a 180 in my life.
Anyway, AFI pretty much couldn't have gone wrong with a third single. The only songs that would be bad choices are "Death of Seasons" (which I love, but it's too experimental), and "The Leaving Song" (because they aren't Puff Daddy).
I doubt they'll have enough momentum to carry a third song into the top 30, though.

For what it's worth...the Used single you couldn't think of was "Buried Myself Alive".

I doubt they'll have enough momentum to carry a third song into the top 30, though. Puff Daddy...it took me a second, but that's hilarious. For some reason, I had it set in my mind that they were gonna go for "Bleed Black" as the next choice. I think that's the most "rock radio" friendly of the lot left. Let's see what other ways they could've gone: 1. "Miseria Cantare- The Beginning" is obviously an intro track, though it's longer than 2 of the "real" songs. 3. "Bleed Black," as I said, is the one I was gunning for. 4. "Silver and Cold" - Though I love every song on this album (all 12 being back inside my Top 40, with 11 of them, including this one, within the Top 15), this is one of my least favorites on the album. I guess it's still probably one of the best choices, though. 5. "Dancing Through Sunday" is too fast and fierce to be a single. 7. "Death of Seasons," as crash said, is too experimental. 8. "The Great Disappointment" is too long. 9. "Paper Airplanes (makeshift wings)" would be a fine choice, but it's not one of my absolute favorites. 10. "This Celluloid Dream" would be fine. 11. "The Leaving Song" is not made for the radio. 12. Nor is "...but home is nowhere" and "This Time Imperfect" is a hidden track, which almost never become singles. I guess "Silver and Cold," while it may not have been my second choice, probably would've been my second guess. It just seems more well-regarded than any of the other likely choices. I thought for sure it was gonna be "Bleed Black," though. They may not have enough momentum to take it to the Top 30, but that'd be A-OK with me. I want my boys to do well, but I don't want them to blow up and become superstars, forcing them to graduate to theaters or worse. Thankfully, I can still seem them in the clubs.

I'm really liking this now. I think it's the best of the three singles released. I think this will peak at #22.
