Monday Morning Merle in particular is fantastic. In any other era, that's a multi-week #1 waiting to happen. Sadly, I'm not sure if that's still the case. Still really looking forward to his album.

I've been hearing this a lot on the radio lately which kind of gives me hope after all this holiday stuff is over this can breakthrough and at least be a top 10 hit for Cody. #1 would be nice too but that may be a stretch for this song right now.

"On My Way to You" really saw a very great week on Mediabase, gaining 6 spots to #23 on Mediabase and gaining 291 spins this week.

Considering Cody Johnson is a new artist I think "On My Way to You" stands a very solid chance of being a future #1.

"On My Way to You" officially becomes Cody Johnson's first Top 20 single with radio as he moves up 1 to #20 on Mediabase.

If it wasn't for the fact this is a rather weak Top 20 (2 songs in freefall, another one after this week, and 3 songs ahead of Cody Johnson that shouldn't last much longer) I would be a bit more concerned about how much higher this song will get, as this song has really slowed down since the new year.

But as it is I am still somewhat optimistic about this songs chances moving forward, still is selling well enough on the charts and this song is still pretty young overall.

Is callout bad for this one? Because it had a fairly quick rise up the charts when it started out and it's been one of the better selling tunes on the charts for awhile now, so it surprises me that it's slowed down this bad in the mid teens unless the callout is holding it back, similar to Jake Owen's last single.

Seems this song gave up today. Dropped 200 spins and 1 million audience.

Any possible second single? I think Fenceposts sounds like a hit. It would be nice to keep hearing fiddles from him.

It looks they have settled for a Mediabase top 10. The rolling bullet is -418, and the current Billboard peak is #11.

I would love to hear "Fenceposts" next but that is very country and I'm not sure the label would risk it. "Understand Why" is streaming the next best on the album and I like that one too.

"Ain't Nothin' To It" seems to be pretty popular (and a great song) but may be too slow to follow up this one.

I enjoyed this one quite a bit for the entirety of its run. I wish it could’ve been a top 10 or even top 5 on BB but it probably is peaking about where it should. I’ve liked what I’ve heard from Cody so far which is really just this song, “Wild As You” and “With You I Am”.

Can't believe they are going with "Nothin On You" next. That will be a very polarizing song at radio. Sure was hoping for "Understand Why".

I guess I’m in the minority but I like nothin’ on you. I think vocally he sounds really good on that song. I could see it struggling at radio though.

I like everything on his album. I'd love to hear "Aint Nothing to It" or "Ya'll People" personally, but "Nothing on You" is also good but not sure how radio will take to it.

There were so many great songs on his last few albums that would've been great to hear on the radio - I'm talking to you "Dance Her Home", "Me and My Kind", "Diamond in My Pocket" among others....

Hope this guy hits big. His concerts are getting BIG and the fans seem to know all the words to all the songs.

Is The Highway playing "Nothin' on You" already? It's suddenly up to the top 50 on country iTunes. While it would have been one of my last choices on this great album, I'm all for Cody getting as much mainstream success as possible. The guy is awesome.
