Meanwhile, Scott becomes the fourth act to have debuted multiple songs in the Hot 100's top 10 simultaneously; Drake has achieved the feat three times (once including Scott) and debuted a record four titles in the top 10 on the July 14-dated chart:
Ed Sheeran, Jan. 28, 2017 No. 1, "Shape of You" No. 6, "Castle on the Hill"
Drake, April 8, 2017 No. 8, "Passionfruit" No. 9, "Portland" (feat. Quavo & Travis Scott)
Drake, Feb. 3, 2018 No. 1, "God's Plan" No. 7, "Diplomatic Immunity"
J. Cole, May 5, 2018 No. 6, "ATM" No. 8, "Kevin's Heart" No. 10, "KOD"
Drake, July 14, 2018 No. 2, "Nonstop" No. 6, "In My Feelings" No. 8, "Emotionless" No. 9, "Don't Matter to Me" (feat. Michael Jackson)
Travis Scott, Aug. 11, 2018 No. 4, "Sicko Mode" No. 8, "Stargazing"
Eminem, Sep 15, 2018 No. 6 "Lucky You" (featuring Joyner Lucas) No. 8 "The Ringer"

Plus, Eminem becomes the fifth act to have debuted multiple songs in the Hot 100's top 10 simultaneously, following Drake, who has achieved the feat three times (including entering a record four songs in the top 10 on July 14), Ed Sheeran, J. Cole and Travis Scott.

which female will do it first? Rihanna seems like a pretty safe pick. Cardi could also do it with the album she’s releasing later this year, although I thought I heard it’s going to be primarily b-sides, so the material probably won’t be as strong/promoted as heavily. I keep forgetting how new this phenomenon is considering how many artists have had multiple top 10 debuts in the last year or two. Wonder if anyone will ever reach 5 debuts in the top 10. Maybe even 6?

A rap star that does well on streaming. Enough to score a bunch of hits at the same time.
Cardi B. Would be about it

I doubt it will be Cardi B. I couldn’t see a female doing it anytime soon tbh. It’s possible for Rihanna but I doubt she will be able to. Most females do better with sales than streaming.

Right...exactly . If I had to pick one though it would be a female rap star that is huge at streaming. Closest one to fit the bill is Cardi B at the moment
Pop artists won't do it (even Rihanna)

I doubt it will be Rihanna. She's well past her prime, and her albums have never opened huge, even with streaming counting more now I don't think it will do it. Maybe Cardi, but you guys are all forgetting Adele and Taylor, who BY FAR have the biggest album numbers of any females now, although Taylor I'll admit is slipping a bit. The fact that they are pop and not rap I don't think will matter much, because their numbers are so huge, especially their opening weeks, and especially if they release to streaming their first weeks, which let's face it they might be forced to do, they should have a very comfortably high chance. Either them or someone new to come along who doesn't exist yet.

Taylor has not had a big streaming hit recently . Adele has not released anything. Streaming is dominated by rap. Until that changes multiple debuts in the top 10 seem unlikely. Not saying they wouldn't have hits though.
Taylor Swift's prior release pattern will also make it difficult for 2 or more top ten debuts. (One advance single at a time, then delay the album from streaming for a period upon release to get that big sales week)

There is literally no way for somebody like Adele or Taylor to do it. They don't have nearly the streaming audience to get the numbers needed to debut that high with multiple songs. Rihanna could potentially do it if she also releases a bunch of sexual videos at the same time as album launch.

Why are people saying Taylor can't do it? Look What You Made Me Do and Ready For it were huge their first weeks, with the latter debuting in the Top 5, and the former breaking all sorts of records. If those were both released at the same time (without a radio deal, ironically), they would have both debuted in the Top 10.

Rihanna could potentially do it if she also releases a bunch of sexual videos at the same time as album launch. Both of the lead singles from their last albums, Hello and Look What You Made Me Do, debuted with the highest streaming weeks ever up to the point when they were released. Yes, they were single songs and not multiple songs debuting at the same time, and not all their songs are that big in streaming, but it does prove something. Sales not the same as streaming But track sales also count toward Hot 100 points and could also be quite large during their album debut weeks. You guys are missing my point. Both Adele and Taylor debut with ginormous first weeks, both of their last albums 1 million plus equivalent units, so percentage wise, even if a small portion of the total is TEA and SEA, they still have a shot. Of course it would most likely be possible only if they release to streaming first week, but I could also see it happening if they release to streaming later. Let's just look at Adele. 25 opened with about 3.5 million total units. It would be easy to believe her next album could also open with over 1 million, but even if it only does let's say 800K, 175k of that total could easily come from SEA and TEA, which is roughly what Eminem had this week and he had 2 top ten debuts. Let's also not forget that though rap dominates streaming right now, that could change soon. Genre popularity weights are always in flux, and there are always exceptions to every rule.

My comment was based on the rapid sales declines that have hit SINCE these two artists last released something, we may see that even these two are not immune. Also both have been reluctant to embrace streaming.

I am 100% sure that either Adele and Taylor are capable as long as they embrace streaming this era

All the songs would need to come out at once. No advance singles. They need to be on all streaming services from day 1. The "million sales in the first week" focus needs to be shifted to just getting the album out to as many people as possible.
Taylor Swift's current album although still a big hit, is a step down from her prior albums, she would need to rebound back to the levels before "reputation"
The long gaps between '21' and '25' did not hurt Adele, with a similar gap coming for the next one, her audience needs to still be there and her audience would also need to embrace streaming (which may not be a given)
