But there’s no new music. Tbh I thought they were just Apple Music-made compilations. Are they the same on all streaming platforms?

Yeah I’m not really getting the point of these EP compilations. I know there’s no effort in doing them but I don’t see Katy or Capitol getting anything out of it...unless they’re trying to burn her contract at this point.

Katy/Capitol must be getting something out of it if they keep on creating them I would think. Katy is very savvy when it comes to business and she deserves credit for partnering with Amazon 2 years ago with "Cozy Little Christmas" to bring awareness to their Christmas playlist. I wouldn't be surprised if they are seeing value in these EP's.

It's sad/scary but true that I bet there are a lot of younger people who legit think these are new songs since they're on an EP bc they aren't familiar with her older work. Capitol playing mind games with these youngins.

Taylor did the same (though only with songs from her last album) It's just a way to re-introduce the songs, with minimum effort they may get listeners for her songs Keeps her music being steamed.mm at this point they don't care if it's old or new as long as people keep streaming her stuff

Yay! I'm guessing it won't be sent to radio or promoted at all, but at least we get something.

I'm probably in the minority on this but I do not like "Not The End Of The World" one bit. It reminds me of "E.T." and "Dark Horse" but nowhere near their level.

While we wait for NTEOTW's music video, does anyone have an explanation re: what happened to her music video viewing numbers this era? While Witness was a commercial flop, all of its music videos performed extremely well ("Bon appetit" even crossed the 1B mark). But this time...

Now I may be wrong, but I think that's a general issue with video streams lately. It's not just exclusive to Katy but other artists in general. If I recall correctly, a similar discussion had taken place on the board. Besides, I think the Witness videos had more replay value than the ones shown this era.

Smile - animated, enough said. meh song too. Daisies - nothing spectacular, except the fact that she was pregnant, I think I watched her Idol performance more. only 25 million on YouTube, but 100 million on Spotify is decent. Never Really Over - 600 million streams, If you combine Spotify and YouTube. That's really great for her in 2020. the song is bigger than its video, that's why she got over 450 million (audio) streams on Spotify. Harleys In Hawaii - 10/10 song, she looks great, chill video...but no replay value..at least for me. and it wasn't promoted. and the fact that YouTube is not as popular as before. # of songs with at least 500 million views that year: 2017 - 64 2018 - 55 2019 - 27 2020 - 20 (including Shape Of You, Despacito and See You Again)

Pulse trashed “Bon Appetite” and “Swish” videos and those are some of her highest viewed videos. Pulse now wants to claim there was replay value in those videos when at the time they were regarded as literally the worst videos of all time??? Amazing how time heals everything.

Chained To The Rhythm and Bon Appétit music videos have been masterpieces with replay value since the day they were released. Swish Swish music video is cringe but the song is a bop (so not much replay value on that video)

she makes a sexy, sultry, NON-GOOFY video for Harleys in Hawaii and she still can't win.

ngl, I really wanted a dark(er) video for the song, but I guess Katy said enough with dark things in 2020. I like the idea with Zooey, but idk, it looks kinda cheap? The song still slaps tho.

Not a huge fan of it ngl. Deserved an epic video and this as not it. Hard to believe the team in charge of her is the same team responsible for her Teenage Dream era. This felt cheesy, even more so than her Birthday video.

I really like the concept, not so much the execution. It looks too cheap.

If she wanted to do an alien theme, she should’ve tried to do a prequel or sequel to the ET video. It feels like Katy & Capitol have been phoning it in all year.

Not the End of the World is one of my favorite songs off of the album (in my top 3) so I'm at least excited it got a music video.

Yeah this team is nasty. But in the same breath, it seems Katy is over the commercial success that had brought her to a low point in her life. And that is fine if she wants to roll like this from now on. Personally tho, I'll take another era of some decent NRO type peaks and things like that.
