“Born To Fly” not winning is a tragedy. The end. Okay, but for real, let's talk about the tragedy that only one of the perfect songs in the top 5 was even in your top 10... lol like you can talk about anyone's rankings when you ranked "Born To Fly" at #18

I could rank her entire catalog, which is 154 songs, and #150 on my list would still be a song I rate at 90/100. You won't see any of this "I never really got into this song, but let me rank it just inside my top 20 anyway" bulls**t from me. That's strictly a Flops move (And castleoblivion26 too, apparently.)

Considering I don’t even enjoy country music... but have purchased everything Sara’s done since 2003... I could have chosen my favorites with eyes closed and very little effort. I live for her entire catalog but I’m picky goddamnit. The more traditional country it is the lower it’ll be on my list. No shame.

Listen to "Born To Fly" and then "Suds In The Bucket" back-to-back...it's apparent which is the traditional song and which one isn't. "Born To Fly" has a great fiddle and vocal arrangement, but overall, it's still very much a mainstream country song. I'd say it's much more pop/country than it is traditional country, especially if you're talking in terms of the beat and the production.

It's a pop/country song with dang good instrumentation and a killer vocal arrangement.

I'm just saying that it borrows from traditional elements more heavily than anything else in the top 5 does other than "Suds". Which means that to state that you dislike traditional songs, but then rank that song ahead of ARFPTS, BSOAGHB, and ALBS, looks a little weird on paper. Of course they are all just damn good country songs. At the end of the day, I stan for them all, and don't actually care which order people like them in The only reason I keep talking about it is because you keep trying to @ me

I think even The Band Perry would have given me a stronger comeback attempt than that!

YAS...YAS...YAS!!! I went into this rankdown with one particular song as my #1 and ended up with a completely different one at the end. I have to say next to the rankdowns for George Strait and Reba McEntire this is probably my favorite artist rankdown thus far. Looking back on this “Tonight” and “My Heart Can’t Tell You No” are two of the standouts for me as I revisited both of these tracks the most and would likely place them higher now. I also really enjoyed revisiting her earlier material such as “Cryin’ Game”. Thanks to .indulgecountry for the hosting duties and I’m looking forward to Sara’s album series

My top 4 made the top 5 and I said I would be happy if my #1 made the top 5. Happy to see I'm not the only huge fan of "Backseat". Such a missed opportunity by radio, ugh. "A Little Bit Stronger" is a great winner and VERY deserving! I was very impressed with how well the singles from Born To Fly held up in this rankdown. I forget just how good that album is until I revisit it. Back in 2001 when she was the most nominated artist at the CMA's, she was ROBBED of several awards, including Album of the Year for this gem. This was so much fun Indulge. Thanks for being a flawless host for the most flawless singer!

Even if My Heart Can't Tell You No was dumped very far from the top 10, I am very happy that Suds In The Bucket managed to place in the top 5! ♥
