Personally don't find Killshot to be going #1 even if the entire top 3 starts bleeding out of their categories. However, it could cause Rap Devil to drop completely off.

KillShot is gonna debut between #3- #5 on the hot 100 !! based on the calculations i just did... if it gets 40million from Youtube.. 10 mill from Apple/Spotify and 20k from itunes !! a top 5 debut is not out of the question !! if this was released on friday would have easily taken the #1 on the hot 100 !!

As much as I don't like the song, I would kinda like to see "Girls Like You" go to #1 this week just to see Cardi B get three number-ones in the span of a year. Would be incredible to see a female rapper, especially a female rapper who broke out relatively recently, accomplish that.

With GLY sort of stalling the top of radio now with it's AC increasing but HAC decreasing and nothing coming remotely close (I don't see Youngblood reaching #1) could we see GLY be the longest #1 of the decade at 13 weeks?

Regarding this week’s chart - will the news of. M5 as the SB headliners give GLY a stream/sales/video boost during the last 1.5 days of tracking week? Perhaps that will be enough.

Well, seems like they've got the #1 in the bag this Monday, so it's a win-win either way. This. Why lose money if they will get it because imf is declining much faster. Sales and streaming tracking period ends soon and maroon has a 4K lead in sales and radio hasn’t changed that much keeping a 55m gap between it and IMF...streams for IMF have declined at a faster rate so... Killshot released on iTunes and Apple Music Maybe a #1...after maroon Inter scope is smart to hold off on killshits release as em and maroon are both in the label. Lose money? It’s selling like 20k a week, and he price reduction is less than $1, so how much money is even being saved? Plus, the money from the extra sales it would get with the discount might even make up for money lost on the regular sales. And then the promo from getting a #1 helps. |

Looks like Maroon 5 are in with a high chance of the #1 this week. Airplay gap increasing, streaming gap decreasing. Drake is falling harder on spotify/youtube. Also looks like they might increase their sales lead slightly. Really hope they can do it!

What was the reasoning behind delaying Killshot on iTunes though? With the 80 million views on YouTube and the massive #1 (it would've been on iTunes had it been released) it seems like a pretty easy #1 Hot 100 hit.
Either way, I'm glad that this will be yet another Top 10 for Eminem. He is helping his numbers for other rappers who have been catching up/beating him lately.

Good for them, love them or hate them they've been around forever and have proved themselves as one of the biggest artists of all time. The timing is right, by February GLY would have already peaked and been done everywhere, so they could easily release a new song and promote it then. Girls Like You have grown on me significantly, I disliked it at first cuz I thought it was a boring as hell and another generic Maroon 5 tune, but now I like it. It's just a nice song, I hear it every time I get out of work after doing a double and it's a nice to hear a non-aggressive and soft song, especially since most of the music I listen to is aggressive. |
