The main question for next year's SB halftime performance is will there still be controversy surrounding the NFL or not. I'd love to see Rihanna or P!nk perform but will they turn it down again next year? A Kelly + Carrie show would be pretty spectacular too.

Unless the NFL rights their wrongs, I can see the halftime show going one of two ways: a country or rock act to play it safe or go with a more Latin-based artist who has nothing to lose (like Pitbull) since the game is in Miami next year.

Nickelodeon animators who animated the new footage with Squidward said the entire Sweet Victory segment from the show was meant to air, they edited the entire thing together with a RIP message to Stephen Hillenburg. This is seen in a tweet by the Mercedes-Benz Stadium that posted the entire rehearsal before the Super Bowl. However the song was cut before the show started by the NFL, and I don't know why they had to do that since the song was already in rehearsal's? Maybe they realized there wasn't enough time for all of it so instead of cutting anything else from the show, they cut Sweet Victory. But I don't get why they didn't just cut a Maroon 5 song, did we really need 7 songs from Maroon 5? Who really wanted to hear Sugar?

Big Boi and Travis Scott also seemed really rushed and phoned in, it's like they weren't even suppose to be there at all. I suppose the NFL booked them because they needed some black artists there since everyone else was boycotting the show. Overall just a messy performance, you'd think something like the Super Bowl halftime show, which is a big thing for artists, it'd be a bit better organized.

The premise of these odds is faulty.  They don't often go out of their way to feature headliners from the local region.  So I'm not sure why the Florida aspect is leading them to favor Pitbull, Flo Rida and FGL (particularly the latter two, who don't seem like remotely good fits as headliners).

I could see a Pitbull + Flo Rida halftime show working out. They both have lots of upbeat hits that everybody knows and their music works well in a stadium environment. I might find them mediocre at times but at least they have better stage presence than Maroon 5.

The general concept of two artists doing it together could be cool. They could trade off with their own songs, of course, but also duet on a song or two (or even all of the songs). CMT Crossroads would be a great reference point since it brings together country artists with an artist of a different genre. That thus helps them get the broader audience they want.

I wouldn't personally want Pitbull, but he would make sense in terms of reaching a global audience. And, yeah, it also allows for various guests to come in and sing different songs.

Keep in mind that last year after Justin Timberlake did it, the predictions for his album that came out just a couple of days before were revised down instead of up and not just a small amount but significantly down. That's really bad.

It's been 15 years since Justin Timberlake exposed Janet Jackson's breast during the 2004 Super Bowl halftime show, but Adam Levine's strip show at this year's game is renewing conversation about the original nipplegate and the disparity in how male and female nudity is perceived by the FCC and the public.

More than 50 people filed complaints with the FCC about the Maroon 5 frontman's decision to take off his shirt during his halftime performance, according to documents obtained by The Hollywood Reporter on Friday (Feb. 22). The backlash pales in comparison to what Jackson faced, and that's precisely what most of the people who contacted the agency are upset about.

The FCC deputy chief for the consumer policy division Nancy Stevenson tells THR in a letter that the agency isn't required to keep records of informal complaints for more than three years. So, all records of consumers who were unhappy about Jackson's wardrobe malfunction have been purged. At the time, it was widely reported that more than half a million people complained to the FCC. The agency issued a $550,000 fine, but it was eventually thrown out following a legal battle that almost went all the way to the U.S. Supreme Court. It was also widely noted that Jackson's career took a hit and she was forced to apologize for the incident, while Timberlake emerged largely unscathed.

Message: It is extremely distasteful for Adam Levine of Maroon 5 to display vestigial male nipples on live television where any child can see these evolutionary leftovers. If the FCC punished Janet Jackson for showing her functioning nipples in 2004, they must immediately fine Adam Levine for displaying his vestigial nipples. The fine should also be doubled as Levine displayed double the nipple.

Message: I am insulted by the exposure of Adam Levine's nipples during the Super Bowl half time show. Not because I am offended by the sight of another human's nipples, but because of the hypocrisy that it did not spark an immediate apology from CBS. I thought we were trying to get past treating men and women differently in this country. CBS should immediately apologize and be fined.

The agency also received nearly two dozen complaints from parents who were angry that their children saw the trailer for Jordan Peele's upcoming horror flick Us.
