Really hoping Lucid Dreams can peak #1 this week, especially after Billboard put out the article saying it's challenging for #1 despite ending up at #6 :eyes:

Ed Sheeran is clearly buying thousands of copies of his single that peaked 9 months ago, obviously.
The same thing happened with Shape of You, Believer, Thunder, Uptown Funk, etc... these are huge hits that also peaked at very different points on different formats (Thunder and Believer first charted on Alt radio and then Pop slowly picked them up, Uptown Funk was played on basically every format, and when Pop finally let Shape of You go, it got picked up by AC radio and then year-end countdowns happened...)

I kinda like the idea of "Lucid Dreams" going #2, and especially of "Better Now" making top 3. Wouldn't mind either one of those songs hitting #1, but of course I'm rooting for "Better Now" the most.

Last September at #1 we had Bodak Yellow, which was a huge breakthrough hit for Cardi B, and Look What You Made Me Do, which was an epic trainwreck everyone was talking about
So far, this Fall we only got Girls Like You at #1. I mean it's good but you can't deny it's radio filler.
Fall is usually more eventful, but then again, it feels like this year for once we had a pretty crazy summer

I wouldn't put too much stock in Simm's predictions - he's been way off since the formula adjustment, which is too bad because he's done amazing work putting it together. His prediction should probably move to the prediction thread, rather than here because, frankly, Pulse Members have been doing a much better job adapting. And, I'm all-in on new #1s, cleaning out the Top 10 more frequently, etc. It has been pretty boring as a chart-watcher with these seemingly eternal logjams. |

I wouldn't put too much stock in Simm's predictions - he's been way off since the formula adjustment, which is too bad because he's done amazing work putting it together. His prediction should probably move to the prediction thread, rather than here because, frankly, Pulse Members have been doing a much better job adapting. And, I'm all-in on new #1s, cleaning out the Top 10 more frequently, etc. It has been pretty boring as a chart-watcher with these seemingly eternal logjams. I miss Despacito tbh. I wish it went to #1 for 20 weeks. |

Also do you think Lucid Dreams can reach a new peak or at least reach its previous peak? Since everyting is falling, and LD is kinda stable... it probably cant reach its peak since the streaming numbers were one of the biggest of this year and it nearly got #1 purely off of streaming. but it can peak in terms of actual chart position, possibly can reach #2 next week. and maybe even if it can gain in radio very quickly while girls like you starts falling it can get #1? probably not but who knows lol. Lucid Dreams reaching #1 after Girls Like You would be so crazy! Two big hits that reached #1 because of its longevity back to back. |

I really hope Lil Wayne manages to get a big hit (similar to what Travis Scott did with SICKO MODE) that manages to even scrape on the year end list ahh. Carter V will likely have a Drake feature so its possible. Either way, some songs will definitely debut on the chart |

I see a #1 or #2 debut happening fairly easily. Not to mention, Kanye West is releasing Yandhi on Saturday, we can see multiple top 10 debuts on the 10/13. And is it even realistic to see a Drake feature on Kanye’s album?

a Drake or Kendrick feature is rumoured on Tha Carter V, either could likely crossover
also great gains for New Patek and Falling Down
and of course the big story of the week, Lucid Dreams predicted within 8 points of #1 - best news chartwise all year
