Random fact: Drake has 7 projects that have been streamed over 1 billion times on Spotify. They include: Take Care, Nothing Was the Same, If You're Reading This It's Too Late, What a Time to be Alive, Views, More Life and Scorpion.

Random, but I saw this earlier and wondered: how amazing is it that Scorpion managed to be the most streamed album in the entire Billboard 200 chart, 13 weeks after it's release? Last week more than 90% of Scorpion's SPS came from SEAs, that's how.

I wonder how their next few projects will do. Post malone I see doing really well. His sound is unique. I'm scared for Cardi B. We've already seen what happens to female rappers when they have huge debut albums( ex: Iggy azalea ). Nicki minaj never had a huge era( at least not huge like Invasion of Privacy, Iggy ) and has achieved insane longevity.

I think Cardi has a few huge albums left in her if she plays her cards right and continues to find favor in the public eye. Female rappers tend to sink to absurd depths once the general public stops fucking with them (example: Iggy Azalea and Nicki Minaj). Drake will be good and Ed will be okay. So will Posty. We'll have to wait and see, though. You never know.

Last week more than 90% of Scorpion's SPS came from SEAs, that's how. Still, I think it's impressive that he's able to still pull in those numbers in a 13th week. Streaming figures for first three weeks of Scorpion: 745m, 390m, 290m... 13th week: 81m. That's crazy impressive to me.

^I wouldn't expect anything less. Streaming becoming the biggest proportion of its SPS has been the trend of Drake's albums since Views, except that it happened more quickly with More Life and Scorpion.

Don't Blame Me - has the new and old Taylor in it - is a great opening song - is a highlight on her rep tour - should be the next single

Rihanna has 5 albums streamed over 1B times on Spotify:
1) ANTI 2) Unapologetic 3) Talk That Talk 4) LOUD 5) Good Girl Gone Bad
This places her in 2nd place overall to Drake who has 7 and the Female act with the most amount by far. #R9 will be her sixth overall.
Rated R is currently at ~600M streams, so it should get to 1B by Spring/Summer 2019 or so.

Unrelated but do you guys think if Trench is released, 21 Pilots will send "My Blood" as a single because out all 4 singles I listened from Trench, this song is the most radio friendly and probably might connect to the public.

They did send it as a single, just not to pop radio.

My Blood and DMTM being sent to Pop Radio, my dreams are true now. I would love to see both being successful at CHR.

And at this rate, Lucid Dreams could be #1 10/20.

Lmao “Taki Taki” at #27, also I really hope “Mona Lisa” gets to #1. I doubt it tho because the streams are decreasing quick.

"In My Feelings" projected to fall to #10.
DAMN!
Will this be the first song to spend 10 weeks or more at #1 that spent less than 15 weeks in the top 10 overall since Olivia Newton John's "Physical" in 1981/1982?
.......
Olivia Newton John - Physical.
10 weeks at #1 & 14 weeks in the top 10.
Prior to that:
Debby Boone - You Light Up My Life.
10 weeks at #1 & 14 weeks in the top 10.
.......
This song has LITERALLY been nothing but YouTube video streams and Airplay though out 70% of it's run thus far, and now they're both falling (have fallen) faster than Niagara. It's peak was huge nonetheless.

It’s like the 2000s again. Lil Wayne taking over the charts and in the top 10 with a dead artist. Maroon 5 at #1. Eminem in the top 10. and Kanye’s here too!

It's peak was huge nonetheless. This isn't true AT ALL. At it's peak, it was pulling in over 100k sales on iTunes on multiple weeks while also pulling in over 4 million streams daily on Spotify US and loads more on Apple Music US while blasting up radio. It's sad that it won't last longer in the top 10 with all these new songs debuting and radio dropping it like a hot potato now, but it's done it's job in my opinion. I don't know what else we can expect the song to do now, but stay longer enough in the top 10 to gain more points for a higher placement on the year-end chart. It's checked every other box: huge 10-week #1 single, Song of the Summer, sold over 600k pure digital copies so far, one of the most streamed songs of the year, reached #1 in multiple countries. I mean. I'm also not entirely shocked at radio dropping the song that hard seeing how the summer is over and seeing how many songs Drake has sent to radio this year alone and he has another song being sent to radio next week, too.

I don't know, I feel like these Wayne songs will dip right out of the top 10 and out of the charts really quick. He's already dropping hard with streams for the songs off his album. New projections came out and he's projected to do just below 500k now. I think 480k. Might drop even lower with how his streams are dipping.

He will still have 450K+ numbers, which is great for an artist that debuted his solo career in 1999, and should definitely debut "Don't Cry" and "Mona Lisa" to the top 10.

Didn't say it wasn't great for an artist of his calibre. Was actually the FIRST thing I said in this thread. I'm just saying, the songs will dip right out of the top 10 after their debut week based on how the album is currently performing on streaming platforms. I had an observation and made a statement off that, that's all.

Wait a minute...Marshmello is predicted to get his first top 10 this week??? That's incredible! Even though I don't like the song very much... But at least it's not "FRIENDS".

While it's true that IMF still has good on-demand, if we ignore the "literally" in kierz' assertion and instead go with "by a majority", it does hold.
In My Feelings (proportion of YouTube & Airplay; all YT streams assumed free, data based on fhas' numbers after the fact) Week 01 (#6 - NE) - 5.76% Week 02 (#1 - 01) - 14.0% Week 03 (#1 - 02) - 35.2% Week 04 (#1 - 03) - 43.2% Week 05 (#1 - 04) - 50.5% Week 06 (#1 - 05) - 57.1% Week 07 (#1 - 06) - 58.4% Week 08 (#1 - 07) - 59.1% Week 09 (#1 - 08) - 56.8% Week 10 (#1 - 09) - 57.6% Week 11 (#1 - 10) - 57.4% Week 12 (#2 - DW) - 55.1% Week 13 (#4 - DW) - 53.3%
Of the weeks we know, 2/3 satisfy the condition, and assuming safely that week 13 will be a majority once more, 9/13 weeks will qualify, equaling 69%, rather close considering these are in blocks of weeks. Also, 70% of the weeks at #1 were indeed majority YT and airplay.
Update: 9/13 is semi-officially confirmed!
