Anyway, we could be looking at a four-way battle for #1 on the next Top 50, with Interscope's A Star Is Born, Fueled by Ramen/Atlantic's twenty one pilots, Quality Control/Motown/Capitol's Lil Baby & Gunna and returning chart champ Lil Wayne (Young Money). They're all expected to trend north of 125k. How much will opening box-office spike the Star ST? Will Wayne continue to earn big streams? Will we accidentally drink the bong water again? The answers to some of the questions will be forthcoming.

The Lil Baby Gunna album is pretty disappointing. I’ve been really into both of them lately for some reason and i was really excited for the album. All the sounds sound the same with the same beats :(

Isn't a 75% drop (which is what it will be if he hits 125k) still fairly normal for SPS? I wouldn't call that huge, we've seen albums crash 80% or more. |

I guess so. 125K just seems so much smaller than 470K. Also, I think all the other huge streaming albums this year had much smaller drops but idk. |

I was thinking overall, but the bigger hip-hop albums these days have been dropping less. Scorpion only dropped 55%, Beerbongs & Bentleys dropped 58%, and Astroworld dropped 62%. Kamikaze dropped about 69%. With that said, Drake and Malone had multiple hit singles going into their album releases, which helped a lot. Eminem had the MGK beef to keep his name out there; I think his drop would have been closer to 75% if not for that. Not sure what Travis had going on at the time other than competing with Nicki, but maybe that was enough. Wayne had nothing leading into Carter V, and right now only has the Uproar challenge to keep him afloat. |

I think A Star is Born will definitely trend up throughout the week. Older audiences don’t rush out to see movies, and the tracking for it is skewing pretty old.

Really hoping TOP gets this — their album is pretty good and they’d likely be able to win out in almost any other week. After the massive success of Blurryface, it’s hard for it to not feel like a bit of a dissapointment if they don’t debut at #1.

Totally looking forward to Gaga opening with better numbers than Nicki Minaj and possibly even Ariana Grande WITHOUT any bundles and proper singles (just a movie :kii: )

I really rooting for 21P get the #1 this week, although I can say it will be a very close battle with ASIB.
However, I also want Gaga to reach #1. As I expect good legs for it, if ASIB don't reach #1 this week, in next week probably will reach the top.

It seems like 21p are going the MGMT route...after a huge breakthrough they abandoned their more commercial sound and alienated the mainstream. They'll keep their sizable base but most casual listeners are tuning out.
