Lead single from 1994's Make Him Do Right. Produced by Jimmy Jam & Terry Lewis. This underperformed significantly after the hits from her first two albums (peaking at #18 on the R&B chart and failing to cross over to Pop), but it did go Top 10 on the R&B Airplay and Club Play charts.
Love it. It had great remixes too.

I enjoy this well enough, and I get why it was released first - it had a "That's The Way Love Goes" vibe to it. It's just not as strong as any of her Ritual of Love singles for me.
I prefer (and LOVE) the other two singles from this album.

Not her best, but I still love this. It always reminded me of "Don't Walk Away" a little bit. The breakdown in the instrumental is ace.

Wow, I thought I was the only person who loved or maybe even remembered this sexy bop. This song deserved so much more success along with the other singles from this project. Looking back a lot of the other late 80’s ladies only lasted 2-3 album tops with decent success. I stanned this song back then. The production is hott and I loved the breakdown bridge. Puzzled by its non existent success. I also LOVE the ballads “I’d Rather Be Alone and Can I Stay With You” from the same project “Hungah” comes from “Make Him Do Right” I used to get chills listening to them.
Edit: it did better than I thought on the RnB side but it no didn’t crossover at all and most of her singles did on the first two albums. I loved Karyn White back then.
