Yeah I don't get the appeal of Happier either. People are complaining about GLY, but Happier is just about as boring, bland, and basic as it gets. Kind of continuing in the tradition of The Middle. Like, how does such basicness become the most popular in the country? This!!! |

Happier was goosed by its sentimental tear-jerking video, a theme that connects to a mass-appeal cross-section of the music consuming public - far broader appeal than that of the 'album bomb cut of the week'.
I think it's probably the same demographic that kept "Perfect" alive.

It's a sad song with an upbeat EDM production... I think "I Took a Pill in Ibiza" proved there's some demand for that type of content. But I'm glad people are hating on it, it means it's becoming a big hit, and like every big hit, someone's got to hate.

If it doesn't hit #1 though, it's because of the sad music video. In my mind, I pictured a white backdrop with yellow balloons floating everywhere and a bunch of people just like dancing.

Talk taki just hit the top 50 on pop radio and is only going to get bigger so I wouldn’t call it a flop just yet. Plus it hit the top 20 on the hot 100 this week. In other Cardi radio news, Ring is now getting airplay on Urban AC. |

It's really disappointing, they've released literally 8 songs post Memories...Do Not Open, but nothing has clicked. |
