The only way I see this hitting the top 10 this week is if 2 songs go recurrent out of the top 10. Dierks has a better chance of hitting the top 10 over FGL I think this week but I could see both making it if 2 songs fall out like I said. Dierks’ Living is on fire right now.

40 weeks is a long time for a FGL single. Time to move on. Hopefully the next single isn't this boring and way more original. Doubt it though.

Still not top 10. Welp, there's always next week. And the week after that. And the month after that. And maybe the year after that. While we're at it, why don't we just keep this at #11 until 2030?
I don't think "Blessings" is going to do much at radio. If it were a few years ago and radio still took just about anything short of "1994" or "Smooth" top 5 as long as it was by an A-lister, then maybe, but radio's moved on to a new crop of big stars and the old era of A-listers no longer have such an easy time climbing the charts with any generic release. Maybe FGL should take a few weeks off after this and come back with a few new songs to release a deluxe edition of their current album. One of the new songs could be a single and it could take 6-7 months to slowly climb the charts and get them back into the top 10 some time next spring. They're kind of in a bind here. They just dropped their album like six months ago, so it's way too soon to release a whole new album, and a long break after such a weak album cycle could risk making their position at radio even worse.

This one is finished. FGL has lost over 180 spins on Mediabase since the official Sunday evening chart. Has fallen outside the top 10 on the rolling chart.
It went without a bullet on Mediabase last week so this upcoming week will be its final chart appearance. Peak was #8 and it will fall short of the top 10 on Billboard Country Airplay (#11).

Same as "Like a Wrecking Ball." Interesting because they're similar in subject matter. Coincidence or pattern?

Finally drops out of the Hot 100. It has a shot at making the year-end Hot 100 despite the low peak, but it's a low chance.

Now they need to release either Y’all Boys or Can’t Hide Red as the third single. I think either one of them would get them back in the top 10 if not a #1.

It would be the perfect time to release the Jason Aldean collab with his current album era wrapping up. Then he could come back early next year with new music.

Seems these dudes are about to be left behind. Bro-Country is forgettable past sub genre. Everyone wave bye to FGL its about time, all their music kept sounding the same. Adapt or die!

Da fuck is wrong with you? Adapt or die? Such an overreaction. Also Florida Georgia Line having a couple of singles underperform doesn't mean they are about to be left behind, by that logic Eric Church and Carrie Underwood should be in the hotseat of potentially leaving and yet both of them are nominated for EOTY at the CMA Awards. A couple of songs not doing as well as the others does not mean Florida Georgia Line will be forgotten of.

Lol, FGL ain't going anywhere and they're not even releasing bro-country tunes to country radio lately. The only one they've put out across their last 2 album cycles was "Smooth" and it was their worst performing single. This one struggled at radio for whatever reason but it still made it to #11 on the charts (only the second single of their entire career not to make the top 10 thus far) and it still sold well for the duration of its run. They were always bound to cool off a bit eventually, but they're still doing fine.

People just want to write FGL off so badly they let it cloud their judgement. This has certainly has underperformed a bit for their standards, but mostly at radio only. As mentioned it above, its sold well for most of its entire chart run (a long chart run too) and is currently in the top 15 of streaming song, surrounded by the likes of two mega recurrent hits "Tequila" and "Heaven" and a new hot collaboration between Diplo and Morgan Wallen. This song is a hit, even if it didn't make the top 10. And again, their previous two singles before this went #1 and one of them, "Meant To Be", was a major crossover event (Yes this is credited as a Bebe Rexha song, but many view it as a FGL one). These guys will be fine. Their next single will probably go #1 as long as they don't pick something polarizing.

Do you guys think “People Are Different” would perform well at radio?

Do you guys think “People Are Different” would perform well at radio? I don’t think that’s a wise choice right now. While it definitely has big hit potential, it leans heavily towards the R&B spectrum of things, much like “Talk You Out Of It”. I think they should pick something safer and more in line with their normal releases to keep the gatekeepers at radio happy.

Next single is “Blessings” according to their concert announcement. Good song but they need something upbeat imo. Honestly they are making a lot of money in their publishing and have a new label so maybe they’re okay with a middling record cycle(for them at least).

I think "Blessings" would be a decent-sized fall/winter hit if they do indeed release it as the next single. It might not stream or sell as well as the first two singles, but I think radio would eat it up.

Yeah, FGL are fine. I know we talk a lot about research and sales, but the bottom line is, if an artist is still making money and still has an audience, they have nothing to worry about. These guys had literally never missed the top 3 until "Smooth" which was an obvious mistake. It's inevitable that every act is going to have one song at some point that misses the top 10. Radio just wasn't too thrilled with this one, but it carried its weight in sales and streaming, so it's really irrelevant that it didn't make the top 10 at radio.
I'm torn between "Can't Hide Red" and "People Are Different" for the next single. The former is super radio-friendly and could allow FGL to share some of Jason Aldean's momentum to get back up the charts, but I still think the latter needs to be released at some point. Maybe go with "Can't Hide Red" third to re-gain momentum, and then release "People Are Different" fourth once FGL are in a better position to take risks.
