Ari is being named Billboard's Woman of the Year but I don't think that necessarily relates to sales etc.

Her entire album counts for this Billboard year, and it moved more units than Invasion of Privacy. Her tour also did record breaking numbers in America, and touring counts towards the year-end. |

It's gonna be Taylor IMO
Cardi will probably get a hefty #2 spot though, also Top 3 on the overall artists (likely sitting behind Drake and Post).

Glad Ariana finally got a #1 hit and Thank U, Next is pretty good.
However, I do hope Happier will be the next #1 after it. Been rooting for it ever since it hit the top 5.

Plus Post went on tour this year, Cardi didn't. Features count I think his point was features aren't treated the same as lead credits. Billboard literally splits points amongst artists if there's more than one. It's an even split if they share lead credit, but it's even fewer if it's a featured credit. So it would take essentially four weeks at #1 with "Girls Like You" to equal one week at #1 with "Bodak Yellow" for Cardi B assuming they had equal points, as an example. That being said, when it comes to Hot 100 Artist Year End (not the Artist Year End), neither Post Malone nor Cardi B will receive full points for even the songs they lead on since most of them had a featured credit of some sort. Out of the singles, "rockstar," "Psycho," "Ball for Me," "Bardier Cardi," "I Like It," and "Ring" all either have a featured credit or shared lead. Hell, "I Like It" is billed with three leads, splitting up the points 33% for each artist. "Better Now" and "Be Careful" were their only singles this year in which they'll receive 100% of the points from. Of course, they both have plenty of full points coming from their respective album bombs, though. |
