"What's A Broken Heart" is the only song on the album that I felt was even remotely boring, which made it an easy last place rank. The melody was not engaging or pleasing to me. I am shocked it wasn't taylor is terrified 's #1, tbh! speaking of #1 losses...

Most people use money to measure success The big car they're driving and the way that they dress If there's someone who loves you you're richer by far You don't know how lucky you are

Another one with a low ranking from me, but that I love. Such a great album. Krauss’ backing vocals are lovely.

Gonna stop there for now.
Personally a bit disappointed to see both "You Will" and "What's A Broken Heart" miss the top 5 as I love those 2.
I've always found "You Will" to be fun and I enjoy it a lot. Really don't understand the dislike for this one.
I do get why some don't like "What's A Broken Heart" because of how slow it is but it is really effective in bringing the emotions of the lyrics out with the production.
I will finish this tomorrow night!

"You Don't Know How Lucky You Are" was just a perfect 90's song, not sure how it didn't at least make it to the top half.

I'm happy "How Can I Help You Say Goodbye" at least made it higher than "You Will," wherever it lands from here. It's my favorite PL song after "You Can Feel Bad."

Is “HCIHYSG” not a modern country classic? It is definitely one of her most remembered and iconic hits, so I’m not sure why people are treating it like some outcast pariah that is suddenly not going to experience the benefits of single bias 😂

I haven't done a lot of comments. Let's catch up!
"How About You" was not on my radar for last place at all. This song is quite catchy! It does have a very weird structure, where the thing that sounds like the chorus only happens once, and tbh the whole song could have been stronger if that portion had happened twice. The song just kinda ends out of nowhere.
"Mr. Man In The Moon" isn't BAD by any means, but it is a song that I consistently found myself putting towards the bottom of my list every time I listened to this album. I would never skip it or anything, but the melody doesn't fully grab me.
I think I have said my piece on "What's A Broken Heart". The song just totally bores me compared to anything else on the album. I still enjoy it enough to never skip it, but the rest of the album is strong enough to put this at the bottom. Throughout this series I have criticized several of Patty's ballads for weak vocal performances that sound a bit pitchy, and tbh I think this song has that same problem.
"You Don't Know How Lucky You Are" has a delightful classic country sound to it. I could absolutely hear George Strait or Mark Chesnutt or someone doing this in the '90s just as easily as Patty. It is only at #8 on my list because of how strong this album is overall...
Count me shocked to see "You Will" so low!! It has never been one of my favorites of Patty's hits, but for some reason in the context of this album I enjoyed it a LOT more. It definitely deserved to be overshadowed by the other big hits here, but seeing it miss the top 5 just doesn't feel right.

"Love Builds The Bridges (Pride Builds The Walls)" has a very good message. It is one of those messages that is so insightful and specific that it tends to stay with you. However, due to that specificity, I could not help but compare it to every other song I have ever heard that uses a similar metaphor, such as Travis Tritt's "Foolish Pride", and of course the most recent example on my mind is Alan Jackson's "Tonight I Climbed The Wall" thanks to his rankdown.
Still, this song is really good. My biggest gripe with it is that "There's no hope at all" line. To me the most natural thing to do with that line would be to go up on the last word and really belt it out, like "There's no hope at aaaaaaaallll". Similar to the way Martina does the "Til the day that he diiiiiiees" line in "Cheap Whiskey" (Specifically how "dies" starts on a high note. Not the sustained descension of pitch that follows, because that wouldn't work in this song.) What Patty does instead sounds so half-baked and non-committal by comparison. However, that is a minor gripe, and otherwise this is a great song! I'll take that perfect rank!

Ah was hoping "Love Builds The Bridge" could sneak one spot higher, I knew it couldn't compete with the 3 singles remaining but it's such a great song! As bboat11 said it's a topic that's been covered a few times but I always really enjoyed this take on it!

"All I Need (Is Not To Need You)" is such a catchy, perfectly '90s country jam! That "This broken heart's bound to see a breakthrough" lyric is also low-key iconic. This sounds like it could have been a single! Now, it's time for "Nothin' But The Wheel" to gtfo so the album's two iconic hits can battle it out in the top 2... Edit: Also castleoblivion26 the ranks are not in order for that last reveal

Staying clear of the interstate I'm seeking out those old two lanes Trying to explain the way I feel Till all at once it's half past three And it's down...to just the trucks and me And I'm holding on to nothin' but the wheel
I've been trying to drive you off my mind Maybe that way baby I can leave it all behind And forty-one goes on and on And the lights go winding in the dawn The sky's the color now of polished steel And the only thing I know for sure Is if you don't want me anymore Then I'm holding on to nothin' but the wheel3. You've got a thing or two to learn about me baby 'Cause I ain't taking it no more and I don't mean maybe You don't know right from wrong Well the love we had is gone So blame it on your lying, cheating, cold deadbeating, Two-timing, double dealing Mean mistreating, loving heart

A perfect Top 3! Literally perfect Top 3 for me! "Blame It On Your Heart" is a classic country bop and the other two are also incredible and were a clear Top 3 set for me.

I am also thrilled to see both songs be able to win! Both "How Can I Help You" and "Blame It" are among the most definitive releases of her entire career, so they absolutely deserve to share the win here. Low-key shocked that HCIHYSG did THAT well, as I figured single bias would get it to the top 2 and then the haters would prevent it from even holding a candle to BIOYH. Seeing it WIN the tie and come out at #1 is a huge surprise for me!!!
I love both of these songs very much, but I have to be honest and say that HCIHYSG has not aged very well. The production sounds sooooooooo dated and tired. BIOYH is no spring chicken either, but that one sounds just like any other mid-'90s jam like George's "Check Yes Or No", Reba's "The Fear Of Being Alone", Mary Chapin Carpenter's "Down At The Twist And Shout", Martina's "Life #9", etc. Almost of which are a few years newer than BIOYH, which speaks to the quality of the production job that that one received! Whereas HCIHYSG sounds more like something half a decade older (Lorrie's "Dear Me", Reba's "Whoever's In New England", etc.) The fact that they are from the same album feels a bit unexpected, as HCIHYSG sounds like it would be at least a couple album eras older.

Oh, I better get caught up before you move onto the next album! I’m not sure if this was noted before, but Only What I Feel was Patty’s first album she released after having vocal cord surgery. There is a noticeable difference in her voice prior to this and in fact every song on this album was re-recorded after her surgery to capture the richer sound of her voice. I’ve seen and read interviews with Patty where she mentions that this was the scariest time of her life because there was a lot of uncertainty what her voice would sound like after and if she’d even be able to sing again. And the rest is history!
Anyways, back to the results! I agree this was a fitting end as both “Blame It On Your Heart” and “How Can I Help You Say Goodbye” have gone onto become two of her signature hits. I really thought BIOYH was going to run away with the win especially considering it made it all the way into the top 3 in her artist rankdown, so I am pleasantly surprised by this outcome!
Neither “Love Builds the Bridges” or “All I Need (Is Not To Need You)” were on my radar as possible top five contenders and I wouldn’t necessarily consider either song to be the strongest album tracks, which handily belongs to “What’s a Broken Heart”. Quite shocked and disappointed to see this out in the bottom three as it’s always been a song that has captured my attention both lyrically and vocally.
Looking forward to the next album!
