I've gotta agree with tim that this is off to a shitty start. "If You Don't Want Me" is a really poignant song, with a strong melody, strong lyrics, and strong vocal. Idk, something about that "If you don't want me........let me go." hook practically gives me goosebumps. I am very disappointed that it was so mercilessly tanked. "If It's The Last Thing I Do" is also fantastic. I love the "big" chorus. Patty's voice really shines on this one. Granted, this is probably the strongest album we have seen yet, so it was really hard to decide what to put at the bottom. Ultimately y'all put the WRONG song at the bottom, but it looks like the results were very close, and I can definitely sympathize with how hard it was to put anything at all at the bottom of this album!

Oh, this continued while I was responding! How neat.
Tbh, I really love the way she sings the title of this one. The way she really emphasizes a really strong "y" sound in the word "I", while scooping up in pitch, like "IIIIIIIIyyyyyy already miss you", is one of the most memorable and catchy vocal moments on this album for me! Lol
I can see why it placed kinda low, but I'm disappointed nonetheless.

Oh thank God! I know this is one of the singles from this album, but imo it is nowhere near the best this album has to offer. The opening riff is incredibly catchy, but ultimately as Patty starts singing it all goes downhill. I mean, she sounds great, but the vocal arrangement is just incredibly dated. Like, this song sounds like something that could have been made famous in the '60s. There is nothing about it that screams "1992 country radio". Something like "I Came Straight To You" would have undoubtedly made a much better single. I'm thankful that this isn't one of those singles that gets an undeserved boost thanks to familiarity bias.

"Nobody Loves You Like I Do" is just pure middle-of-the-road '90s album fodder. It is an enjoyable listen, but not necessarily that memorable. My #4 rank might have even been a little high. I'm okay seeing this go here.

Glad to see that "Waitin' For The Phone To Ring" made it to the Top 5, even if I would've liked to see it go just a bit higher.

"Waitin' For The Phone To Ring" is a catchy jam! My low rank is just indicative of how strong this album is. This song is absolutely one I am fine seeing in the top 5!

"I Came Straight To You" is one of the catchiest jams I have heard from Patty thus far. Definitely the missed single opportunity from this album!! I expected it to be the highest album track, but did not expect how polarizing it would apparently prove to be. Everything about this one slays Such a wonderful discovery!!

"God Will" has a really clever hook, but does not deserve to be the highest album track... I enjoy the songwriting a lot, but imo there isn't anything about this melody that makes it stand out from other ballads on this album that got done dirty. Still okay seeing this in the top 5, but I'm not sure it would prove to be the highest album track from this album if we end up doing an album tracks rankdown from Patty someday.

Now, the predictable single-biased top 2. No complaints though, as they both slay :) "Jealous Bone" for the win!!!!!!!!

Lol @ people ranking "I Came Straight to You" in last on this album. There's no way that's the worst song on this record. Nope.

That's... disappointing lol. HOWEVER! I love both, so not THAT upset lol. "Jealous Bone" tho will forever be my fav Patty song, and one of my fav songs of all-time. It slays. And the nostalgia. Oh the nostalgia is REAL with this one! Single digit aged me JAMMMED hard to this song.

I'm starting to think taylor is terrified is just a rankdown troll at this point. Girl, what are these tragic rankings you come up with every time you submit for one of these country rankdowns? ETA: But also I prefer the winner to the runner-up so I'm good w/ this outcome.

OMG what the f**k was I doing with "Hurt Me Bad" That song slays!!!! Totally fine seeing it win. Although "Jealous Bone" is better. JB is one of my favorite songs from Patty, and I believe was in my top 5 for her singles rankdown. That melody is dark-yet-delicious ear candy, and her intense vocals are perfect for the song. Sad to see it lose by ONE POINT, but this was a very strong top 2!

“Hurt Me Bad (In a Real Good Way)” has long been one of my all-time favorite songs by Patty, so much so that I ranked this in my top five in her artist rankdown. “Jealous Bone” will always be a jam for sure, though! I’ll gladly take a perfect ranking for the top two anytime lol...thanks again castleoblivion26 and I’m very much looking forward to the next two!!

I'm really excited for this next set! At this point in her career was when she went through that dangerous throat surgery for a developing aneurism in one of her vocal cords, and when she came back her voice was a bit different (the classic Patty sound we all know and love), and her career really took off! Now's when the huge hits and wildly successful albums really started
