Here's the revised 2018 & 2019 charts including the data from the Feb 2, 2019 charts. Remember, songs appear on the chart of the year where they first peaked.
High Hopes climbs to #2 and it's only downhill from here. No hope of it catching Halsey.
As always +0000 means the song is still on the charts, red means the song is still in the top 25. The Top 40 songs to peak in 2019 (Complete chart run){Reduced to Spoiler to save save} And the revised 2018 numbers (top 100 songs and any 101-200 still on the chart) [/div] The Top Songs to peak in 2018 (Complete chart run) {Reduced to Spoiler to save space} Maroon 5 should become the #1 song of the year within two weeks. Only thank u, next, which just got into the top 20 could have a long enough chart life to eventually dethrone it but it's an enormous lead and GLY still has lots of life. "I Like It" climbs to #4 of 2018 and might even make #3, and "Sicko Mode" made the top ten. "Going Bad" did climb into the top 100, and is virtually certain to be the last 2018 song to do so. Of the songs below 100 and still on the chart, Luke Combs and Billie Ellish may move up but both of them tied their 2018 peaks this week, so any higher climbing will move them over to the 2019 list!

Here's the revised 2018 & 2019 charts including the data from the Feb 9, 2019 charts. Remember, songs appear on the chart of the year where they first peaked.
I wouldn't be surprised to see the top 4 songs on this week's chart still be in the top 15 by the time all is said and done. Probably some time in May 2020.
As always +0000 means the song is still on the charts, red means the song is still in the top 25.

The one oddity is the re-entry of Tequila by Dan+Shay. If it gains enough pop airplay points it could climb higher than it's previous peak of #26 back last June! That could make it a very late drop-off from 2018 and a very high peak (entering at #5) on the 2019 chart.

Shocking news on this weeks chart as Happier hits a new peak of #2 after nearly 6 months on the chart. Apparently he did some virtual concert in Fortnite that added a few millions stream. Net result, Bastille moves from #17 of 2018 to #1 of 2019!

Here's the revised 2018 & 2019 charts including the data from the Feb 16, 2019 charts. Remember, songs appear on the chart of the year where they first hit their chart peak. If you told me two weeks ago that both the top song of 2018 and 2019 (under this method) would change in the same week, I wouldn't have believed you.
But a lot can change in a fortnight. (Look it up)
As always +0000 means the song is still on the charts, red means the song is still in the top 25.
The Top 40 songs to peak in 2019 (Complete chart run) And the revised 2018 numbers (top 100 songs and any 101-200 still on the chart, which are reducing every week)
The Top Songs to peak in 2018 (Complete chart run)
So as we all know now, Marshmallow's "virtual concert" on the video game Fortnite spiked his streams, moving "Happier" to a new chart peak. Since that moves its peak from 2018 to 2019 it moved to the latter chart, and has enough points from its complete run to enter the list at #1.
And as long expected, Maroon 5's "Girls Like You" has gained enough points from this inverse point system to ascend to #1 on the 2018 list. I doubt thank u, next will be able to catch up. There just isn't enough space between where they are on the charts of the last month. So TUN will gain, but so for a while and at a slower pace will GLY.

Must be a problem because Happier is actually 17 points behind Halsey. I'll look into it.
ETA: The rankings are correct but the score for Without Me this week should have been 4210, not 4260. Bug in my spreadsheet. Sorry.

Many of you may have seen in the " 2010s charts, all-time charts and others" thread that tanooki was kind enough to share his algorithm for the decrypting of the list used in Billboard's all-time top 600 chart, and it is incredibly accurate. So accurate that I could identify errors that Billboard made in their list. Seriously. (Later on that page you can also see the first part of the all-time top 3000 hits. Yes, you read that right.) So accurate, that I've decided to replace my methodology for the "complete" format (which, after all, was intended to model after the same algorithm as the "all-time" list) with this new methodology. As a result, the order of songs changed, although not as much as I expected, and the points will be wildly different this week and going forward.
For 2019, I'm listing the top 50 songs, for 2018 the full top 200 at least for this week. Points with a "+" are still charting. Points in red are in the top 25 of the Hot 100. Up to and including the Mar 2/19 chart.
The Top 50 songs to Peak in 2019 (Complete chart run) [/font][/div] {Spoiler to save space} The Top 200 songs to peak in 2018 (Complete chart runs) [/font][/div] Under the new methodology, Marshmello has the biggest hit to peak in 2019, but Halsey should regain #1 very soon. In 2018, Sicko Mode is now at #3. Could it actually last long enough to steal the #2 song to peak in 2018? I think it might! Based on chart predictions, Lady Gaga's Shallow is expected to rebound on this Monday's Hot 100, probably getting to #1. Even if it only gets to #5, it will drop from the 2018 chart (where it's currently #45) and onto the 2019 chart (where it will easily begin in the top ten). I suspect this will be the last song to move from one chart to the other, but I thought that after Marshmello's leap. Time will tell.

Inclusive of the Mar 8, 2019 chart: "Shallow"s climb to #1 almost 5 months after it originally peaked at #6 in 2018, moves the song to the 2019 chart and into the top ten of this year so far. The Top 50 Songs to peak in 2019 (complete chart runs) The Top Songs to peak in 2018 (Complete chart run) (The top 50 and any songs still on the chart. It's down to only 6 entries below the top 50) Thank u, next should have little trouble climbing into the top 10 before its run ends. Not much chance of overtaking #1 though.

The Top Songs to Peak in 2018 (Top 50 + any still on chart) I expect both the Billie Ellish songs from 2018 to drop back off the chart next week, as well as Gaga's ARUTW. That won't leave much that can climb into the top 100.

Been a month since I updated this list, because there just isn't that much activity (nor, it appears, interest). Anyhow, here is the 2019 chart. The scoring system is the same as the Billboard all-time list, and only songs that peaked in calendar year 2019 are listed. Unlike the year-end chart, this chart includes the full chart run of the song, so any points earned in calendar year 2018 are included. Includes up to May 4, 2019 chart. I'm listing everything in the top 75 + any song still on the chart and having 5,000 or more points. (Points in red are still in the top 25 of this week's chart.)

Even less to update on the "complete" 2018 chart. As with the above post, this includes the full chart run (using the BB all-time scoring system) of songs that peaked in calendar 2018. So it was no surprise to me that on the Billboard Awards this week that Girls Like You won Hot 100 song of the year. Includes up to the May 4, 2019 chart. Listing of top 50 plus the two songs, both by Lil Baby, that peaked in 2018 and are still on the chart. Only a few 2018 songs are still active, but they include the #1 song of the year building it's lead, and #3 (Sicko Mode) straining to get to #2. The three scores in red are songs still in the top 25 of this week's chart.
Still open questions:
Can Sicko Mode hang on to overtake God's Plan at #2? Can thank you, next make it to the top ten of 2018? Can Going Bad get to the top 30? Can Lil Baby's Close Friends squeak into the top 100?

Been a while since I updated this so:
The top songs that peaked in each of 2018 & 2019 based on their entire chart runs. Up to the June 8, 2019 chart.
The top 75 songs of 2019 (complete chart runs) I've included any songs in the top 100 and still climbing.
The 2018 chart is nearly complete. There's only 3 songs which peaked in calendar year 2018 that are still on the chart. (The one's with a "+" in the score.)
Girls Like You finally expired from the chart last week. Not because it fell out of the top 100 but because it spent 52 weeks on the chart and was no longer in the top 25. (I suspect without that rule, Ed Sheeran's Perfect would still be on the Hot 100!)
The top 100 songs to peak on the Hot 100 in calendar year 2018 There are no songs outside the top 100 of 2018 still on the charts.

So in terms of the Top Artist of 2019 so far (in terms of Hot 100 points) it would be… Post Malone, right?

We're halfway through calendar year 2019, so here's an update on the top songs to actually peak in 2019. This includes any points they may have earned in 2018. Remarkably, the top 19 songs to peak this year are all still on the chart, so they'll get even more points. But there's no magical cutoff. If a song peaks in the last week of 2019, all its 2020 points will still contribute.
There's not enough change in the 2018 chart to post, but Wake Up by Travis Scott which returned to the chart this week so that may slightly change things. It first entered and charted at #30 in 2018, so if it a) stays on the chart and b) doesn't go above #30 it could grow on the 2018 chart.

The first week of August, so let's check on how songs that peaked in 2019 are fairing (using the Billboard all-time formula) when their entire chart runs are included. Any songs that peaked in 2018 will appear in the next chart:
Every song in the top ten is still on the chart and collecting points (indicated by the "+" in front of the score). I list the top 100 and any songs with over 5000 points still charting.
Two Meek Mill songs and Sicko Mode that peaked on the Hot 100 in 2018 are still on the chart, so the 2018 all-time chart (containing the complete runs of songs that peaked in 2018) still isn't locked, but there's not much action:

rockgolf Your complete charts are what led me to create an account on these boards, just to thank you for your effort, and encourage you to keep up the hard work. I look forward to seeing the next 2019 update, and was wondering if you would ever be willing to create some genre specific charts, maybe with a longer timespan to minimize the workload, (like "complete Billboard Alternative Songs of the 2000s", "complete Billboard Alternative Songs of the 2010s", "complete Rock Songs (since it began in 2009)"... and other genres too)

There is a site called Racpro that already does have the chart info you seek but it's subscription based, and I'm not willing to pay for it. :(
But here's a consolation prize: The updated (through November 9, 2019) complete hits of 2019!
(These charts cover the entire chart run of songs that peaked on the Billboard Hot 100 during 2019, using the all-time formula basis. So songs that peaked in 2018 will be on the previous year list but not this one. The chart will be maintained until the last song to peak in 2019 drops off the chart. For comparison, the 2018 chart only finished a few weeks ago.)

Gotta wonder what will be the last song to peak in 2018 to be on the Hot 100. I'd say Someone You Love will probably last the full 52 weeks, but it charted very early. Could be Dance Monkey if it gets to the top of the chart in 2019, but I think the Christmas song blizzard will slow it until 2020. Circles would also be a good bet.

This chart contains the complete chart runs for songs that peaked on the Billboard Hot 100 during the calendar year 2019 up to and including the December 14, 2019 chart.
It will continue to be updated as long as any song that peaked in 2019 is still on the chart.
The Top 100 songs to peak in 2019 (Complete chart run)
I've included songs in the top 150 and still charting.
There's a kind of Frankenstein situation with several Christmas songs. Many peaked in the Billboard chart of Jan. 5, 2019, so their full run from the weeks leading up to that chart are included here. Now they've re-charted at the end of 2019, so those points are adding to their totals. It means they effectively, for the next few weeks get to "double-dip", getting their 2018 & 2019 chart runs combined.
But if, as will be likely, some of them reach a new chart peak on the January 4, 2020 chart, then all their 2019 points move instead to the 2020 complete chart.
It's weird, but it's fair.
Some examples: All I Want For Christmas Is You is likely to go #1 on Monday's chart. So all her 2018 & 2019 runs will stay in 2019. Brenda Lee's Rocking Around the Christmas Tree has already surpassed her 2018 peak of #9 by getting to #8, but if the song is higher than #8 on the 1/4/2020 chart, her 2019 chart run will move to the 2020 list. Same happens if on that chart: - Jingle Bell Rock charts above #8
- A Holly Jolly Christmas charts above #10
- Nat King Cole's The Christmas Song reaches a new peak higher than #11
- Last Christmas goes above #25
Those songs would seem likely to reach a new peak, but will it be on the first chart dated 2020? We'll have to wait.

With its re-entry this week, does Lucid Dreams overtake Havana?

With its re-entry this week, does Lucid Dreams overtake Havana? Yes, on the all-time chart, but I consider the 2018 chart locked. Any points Lucid Dreams gets with this run will be included in the 2019 charts, assuming it doesn't climb to a higher chart position in 2020. Either way, it will be a short run as it is already at 47 weeks and will only last past 52 if it stays in the top 25. I could see it dropping out of the top 50 (and therefore, at its age, off the chart) next week. Same applies to any songs that re-chart in a different year after a substantial absence. Thanks for asking.

rockgolf You should use the inverse formula listed here since it's spot on with the already published decade-end/all-time lists.

rockgolf You should use the inverse formula listed here since it's spot on with the already published decade-end/all-time lists. I tried that formula and didn't find it worked any better than the one I use (which also came from Tanooki).
The formula I used got 499* of the 500 tracks from the 1980s when SiriusXM did their countdown, so I'm good with the results.
(*It would have been a full 500 except I included Stand By Me's points from the 1960s in its 1980s run0
