Welp, totally didn't expect that samo🦕 . Your #1 possibly being in the bottom 50. I can understand that considering no Kesha in the YE, so I have no idea which your #1 is. Anyways... Not to double post, but I predict an Urban vs. Pop poster war is coming.  Urban posters vs. Pop posters? I wonder, how about the country/rock participants? Sitting in the middle eating popcorn like they don't care about the war?  Considering how Alternative is represented with Imagine Dragons andalmostlovelytheband, they all probably decided to nuke themselves. |

It's possible. I can't speak for all rock posters and this game will likely be huge so who even knows. I just know that PTM won a previous rankdown so there is evidence of support there.

yeah I know "feel it still" made the top ten on last years hot 100 rankdown (I think it was 7 or 6?) so I'd be shocked if it wasn't at least top 20 lmao

Because honestly around here our taste gets us nowhere. Look at me, i used to do my taste and i get worst in closeness. So might as well f**k with the status quo. I was going to let this post slide, honestly, but it's really gnawing at me, and I kind of want to just use this post as a stepping stone for a larger point. Rankdowns have stopped being as fun as they used to be for me. This mentality is a big part of the reason why. People are actively sending in randomized rankings, or rankings with the explicit intent of tanking songs because they're perceived as "favorites to win", or rankings where they didn't listen to every song and made assumptions based on their opinions of the artist themselves (or even the genre the artists associate themselves with), and I'm just sick of all of it. Why would you submit for a rankdown if the ranking you're submitting isn't representing your own opinion? Why would you submit if you haven't taken the time to listen to every song? Why would you submit if you're explicitly trying to tank a song for "strategy"? What's the fun in that? I mean, it's an internet game, I get that, and there's no great, earth-shattering stakes involved, but it's also meant to be something you do for fun, or as a means of discovering music you haven't heard before, or just to see how your taste in music stacks up with the taste of others. Rankdowns should not be something that you do to (either purposefully or not) annoy others by not ranking based on your actual opinion. |

IDK if my attitude in the rock rankdowns has had any influence on your thinking Juggalo, but speaking for myself I make a game/joke out of racing for last place in closeness just from playing the game properly (ie. ranking things on actual personal taste/preference) and finding out just how differently I think from the rock posters. It's simple enough for me to do since a vast majority of that content is first-time exposure for me so I legit don't know how others view that same content. So when I tank things that are popular or boost things that are unpopular, I'm not doing it to be a troll or to 'rig' the game.
If closeness is that important to you then learn to find the fun in seeing how your own, actual legit tastes/preferences stack up against the rankdown results. Although IDK why it should be important, it means absolutely nothing in the grand scheme of things.

Well I repeat, it's pathetic to play a game with the sole reason to fuck everything up. But then again, I can't just throw away lists that I consider trolls, since some people do have... questionable taste.

For the most part this was a way worse year for popular rap than 2017 so you won't see me lose a top 10 in the bottom 5 again
And the Chainsmokers aren't a going concern so me being their only hater won't come into play

These YEs were ones that I definitely planned on doing despite being largely away from rankdowns. This should be fairly easy for me except for the random trap rap songs that got loads of streaming for no reason.
