This was the 2nd single from Astronaut released in 2005. The track was originally debuted on an American internet radio station in 2003 while the band was trying to get a record deal. The first version played in 2003 was a demo featuring an extended bridge, which would be removed by the time the track was released. Those parts of the track were re-worked to become the B-side " Silent Icy River". It peaked at #11 in the UK and at #2 on Billboard Dance/Club Play chart. This song had remixes by Harry Peat, Jason Nevins, and Peter Rauhofer. Peter's remix incorporated beats from the Danny Tenaglia remix of Celeda's "Be Yourself" and the main "you gotta believe" male vocal sample from Fierce Ruling Diva's rave classic "You Gotta Believe." Peter released the dub of this remix as a separate track without any of Simon's vocals under his own name as "Believe In Me". Music video:
This is another one of my favorites by them. The lyrics are just so positive and make you feel good. I recently discovered the original demo with the bridge and it has just reinvented the song for me. I was a big fan of the Peter Rauhofer mix when that was released but I still only use the Jason Nevins remix (his sound may be a tad dated now, but it just worked so well here).

This and "Sunrise" were both great songs but I liked this one more. It was nice to see them both become pretty solid hits on Hot AC. 04 and 05 were not my favorite years in music but Duran Duran was a bright surprise.
