This rankdown can go to hell. I have lost 4 of my Top 10. Now I know how LBTrocks feels about having taste in music that everyone judges.

Ugh, I'm not a big fan of Russel Dickerson at all. Glad it's relatively low.

I had never heard this song before I listened to this rankdown but it almost made top 10 for me at one point, however it grew more annoying the more I listened to it. Still, it's a gem that I'm glad I found. My first vehicle was also a purple Toyota Tacoma so there's some feels lol. I hated that truck, but also loved him. I named him Leonard. He was awesome for winter driving, but couldn't go above 60mph.

I'm completely lost on Russell Dickerson as an artist. "Blue Tacoma" is his 3rd best song, but still terrible. His album is absolutely atrocious, minus "Float", which is low-key a guilty pleasure for me.

Old Dominion. How do I express my feelings for thee? They are great live. They are super nice guys! I met them and loved them. I just... don't like their music.
I love Thomas Rhett but don't care for "Life Changes" much at all.

Ugh, I am SO disappointed that "Life Changes" did this well... That song is literally in the running for being the biggest pile of shit I have ever heard in my entire life. It was a bottom 5 contender for awhile too, but ended up climbing for almost the entire submission process. I can understand the appeal behind a lot of Thomas Rhett songs even if they suck to me, but this song has no redeeming qualities whatsoever. As far as I am concerned, myself, George Strait Junkie, wavey., and .indulgecountry are the only people who have any taste whatsoever. Everyone else, the tribe has spoken. You have been voted off the island.

Actually, there was just one good thing that came from "Life Changes". The thread was one of the best reads of the entire Country forum last year!

Aww, I actually liked "Life Changes". The amount of specific detail, and wholesome writing make it appealing. And it's pretty catchy, though that's a given with Thomas Rhett songs, good or bad.

Am I the only one who thinks the chorus of Blue Tacoma sounds the same as Hangin' On? The phrasing are so similar and they are singles at similar times. Both bad songs anyway. The only tolerable song from Old Doninion is No Such Thing as a Broken Heart. Otherwise they suck. The overly specific but unimportant details in Life Changes is why I hate that song. As I said in the More thread, it has no qualities to be her comeback single.

Well I did good with that one lol She deserved BETTER! "More" is great! Love the melody in the chorus!!! I like most of her output, though. "Tuxedo" wasn't very good, but it still isn't that terrible. lol.

I like the Thomas comment, but I heavily disagree with the opinion on Golden Hour...

I HATE the vocal effects on this and the melody is absolutely dreadful. You can tell FGL had a part in writing this. Or Morgan Wallen, because the vocals in this are as bad as those in Up Down.

“I Was Jack (You Were Diane)” is such a jam to me, I thought it would go a bit further so I’m kind of bummed about that.

Ugh I'm so behind on the reveals now...but yes Jason Aldean's "You Make It Easy" was one of my guilty pleasures of the year and I have no regrets about putting it in my top 10.

I have literally never heard a catchy Thomas Rhett song in my entire life... Agree to disagree. I'd say he knows how to write a hook that gets stuck in your brain. He knows how to write a song that radio will take to, I'll give him that. But none of his songs have ever been "catchy" the way that historically-catchy songs like "Check Yes Or No", "Chattahoochee", "Born To Fly", "Before He Cheats", etc. are. Thomas' melodies just feel incredibly cheap and manufactured in comparison. Personally I would describe his songs as perfect songs for modern radio, that would have never even been given a second of airtime back in the '90s and early '00s when people like George Strait were cranking out clever, catchy jingles by the handful. Of course that is just my opinion, and I will agree to disagree :)
